Why do presenters try to interpret kid's drawings?!?

Playhouse Disney - some sesame street thing...

Little boy sent in a drawing of big flowers, yellow petals, big centres made up of black dots.

"And this must be a buttercup"

WHAT?!? Even from my quick description any fool can see it is most likely a sunflower... poor kid was probably yelling at his screen.

If they don't KNOW what it is, then just talk about the beautiful colours Angry

(Pointless rant, but it was so clearly a sunflower....)

i understand what you mean , cbeebies does the same thing they look at pictures and say this must be so and so which when it comes to a kids drawing it could be anything i bet the poor kids get really angry.
