What has happened to CBeebies?

We didn't tune in yesterday but switched on at 10am for Teletubbies and there's no sign of it! Not even on BBC2 either. Think the BBC have really made a mess of this. I'm almost on the verge of finding something else for DD2 to watch.

Isn't it on much earlier (about 8am) because it's the easter holidays?

Report
petunia · 04/04/2006 10:55

I can't find it. Just been on the Teletubbies bit of the CBeebies website and it says it isn't on BBC2 but still says it's on at 6am, 10am and 2pm on CBeebies. Not according to our schedules on the Sky Box it isn't!

I'm distraught by the removal of the 8am Balamory slot but quite like the fact that the 8am stuff isnt' repeated again at 4pm, that used to drive me mad.

I think it's been changed around. Do you have a Radio Times or something?
(another one personally glad that Teletubbies isn't on at that time Wink)

Ds2 was looking forward to his usual 2pm Teletubbies yesterday but instead there were 2 episodes of Big Cook Little Cook. Ds2 was not impressed.

LilacBump · 04/04/2006 11:36

they changed the programming. it's dreadful. just a mess with lots of dubble bills and repeats.

I don't think it's changed because of the holidays. Just been on the grown-ups part of the CBeebies website and their messageboard, and this all seems to be part of a "new look". Teletubbies is now on at 6am and that's it. Not very impressed.

DO what we did with DS when he was younger

Make your own videos record a mixture of their favourite programmes onto a 3 hour tape

And then they can watch it whenever they like and it will be free !!!!!!!!!!!!

They re-hash their progs all the time and I'm getting a bit sick of it.

I'm gutted that they've shelved the 8.00 Balamory. Poor little DS was asking where it was yesterday morning. Sitting on his bean bag wondering what the nora had happened to his favourite show.

He likes Boogie Beebies, but one after the other is a bit much imo, why not leave Balamory where it is then put BB on after?

In fact why can't they just leave it all alone?

Report
petunia · 04/04/2006 14:52

I understand how they need to move programmes around but Teletubbies was always on at fixed moments of the day. I don't think there's anything for really young children i.e the 9/10 months to 1 year olds on there now.
