It is my newest guilty pleasure.
You can't stop watching Strike Back, it's awesome!! It is as if someone made a TV show just for me, despite the occasional annoying bit (yes, Rhona Mitra, I do mean you).
Lampreys, it is on Sky usually. The last episode of series 3 is repeated at 1am Sunday morning on Sky 2. I'd guess you might be able to find it on On Demand via sky - there have been 3 series, but s1 was very different, it was all British, had Richard Armitage in it and was very good. From s2 it's been a joint Sky/US production and now it is very different.
You can find it in various places online and there are a lot of trailers and clips and stuff on youtube and on Cinemax.
SufferingLampreys Strike Back is on Sky 1. We did not have Sky when it started, so I am ashamed to say we bought the first series on dvd. It was shocking how quickly we could re-sell that dvd on Amazon marketplace.
Oh that blog is hilarious ,loved it .
But was watching Hunted anyway
Brilliant blog! Hatwatch is fab. I'm going to be on the lookout next time. Nothing could replace spooks though - am still in mourning. Was gutted when RPG died, couldn't believe they'd let his kid be an orphan.
jammic It was awful, wasn't it.
I am now properly confused after watching Secret State. Keel from Hunted and Conrad Knox from Strike Back turned up in it in sismilarly sinister roles, and it was like it is all connected
Let us hope tomorrow we'll see a bit better episode.
Soooo, who's got themselves mentally prepared for tonight?
Is it the last one?
It is the penultimate episode, TheSmallPrint. Very exciting.
I am so sad they cancelled the show. Not surprised though. I wish they just hired better writers. BBC commissioning editors, if you are reading, can we see Aidan in something else, please.
I'm not sure my head can cope with any more confusion
. Have you read last weeks blog? Tis very funny again.
I agree, TheSmallPrint. BBC should continue the series just so that we can read the blog
Ok last one where hopefully all the past seven weeks of confusion become clear.....
I still don't understand! Why'd they want to kill her?
Well. Right. Hmm. No, not a jeffing clue! Except why Jack wanted the dam. So glad I watched!
Ok so who was the one with the half finger? And what did she see that made them want to kill her?
No idea. I'm guessing it was Keel. No foundation for that but he's as good a choice as any.
Who was the baby/where did it come from?
Bloody mystifying. Whose was the baby 'one month later'? Pretty sure she wasn't eight months pregnant when she got shot. What did she remember? Was the weird looking man trying to protect her or kill her? Did anyone get their comeuppance? Just...WTF?
So Byzantium pretended to kill her?
Completely agree notnow WTF is exactly what I thought.....
a) how what why did she survive again....
b) who was Mr Half finger
c) who's baby - if that was her's and whathis names from the first shooting, was it old enough???
d) why did know one try and find her at her family home again...
e) just wtf
Arrrrrrgggghhhh. What just happened? I am very confused. DH says she ordered the baby on Amazon.
WTF!!!???? Just found this thread after watching and being totally
They (Deacon/Byzantium) shot her before the other people could maybe so she could survive.
The half finger man-I know we saw before but I can't remember who....maybe Davey???
But WTAF is the baby all about? If it was hers and Aidens baby it was too young and how did she do all that training before v v v pregnant.
If she was pregnant by Stephen (she was sick whilst running) then the baby was way too old.
So what was that all about?
Has it been left like that for a second series? I need to know what on earth happened!!!
On wikipedia they are saying that there was going to be a second series but the bbc has decided not to.
Now we may never find out wtf happened!! Things like this really bug me
The ending was shite. They should have just left her in the river.
Bring back spooks!
There might still be a second series, it's a co-production with Cinemax, so they could make one anyway, and sell it to someone like Living or Sky One. It might be a bit glossier if they do, but it's a chance, much like what happened with Strike Back.
The baby was supposed to be the baby she lost when she got shot originally, wasn't it? As in, she didn't lose it but told 'Aidan' she did. The training at the beginning was from after she had the baby. I think she was supposed to be about 3 months when she got shot, then it was a year til she turned up in the office, then a month or so wearing strange hats and getting attacked in London, so the baby would be 6-7 months old-ish?
The main question I have from last night is whether Deacon was still working for Byzantium when he shot her. I can't decide if it was Keel's plan to keep her alive, or whether she enlisted Deacon directly after his attack of conscience.
Ooo. That makes a lot of sense about the baby Easy . Still don't understand the half fingered man...
I gave up caring... Too many loose ends for my brain to follow!
