I 'discovered' when breast feeding dd. I really want to live in star hollow and be lorelie. I did think it was sad Rory didn't marry whatshisname x

It's bloody brilliant! There's something wonderful about Loralei...she's ace :o

She didn't die, she went on the election trail with Obama as a journalist. I was OBSESSED with this when I was pregnant and when dd was tiny, as a teeny baby dd used to recognise the theme tune Blush

Noooo it's so good that she didn't marry Logan! I think the whole program was about being strong independent women (apart from when Loralei was mooning after luke and married Christopher - I didn't like those bits).

I am a young (although not as young as loralei) single mum with a DD. I fantasize that we will be just like them when dd is older.

On a more serious note I know it is all fantasy and very unrealistic but it really made me feel that being a single parent is okay and actually bloody amazing. It is one of the few tv shows that has a positive mother/daughter relationship Smile

Died? What the hell clip did you watch?

D hadh actually agreed that if we have a dd then we can call her Lorelai (he's as obsessed as me) but Ds's name starts with an L and sounds kind of similar (think lion) so I'm not sure we could get away with it...

I loved loved loved this show. It reminds me of being pregnant, it was on E4 every day!

Very witty, fantastic dialogue and just sort of gentle, cosy viewing. I loved Emily Grin

It was great that Rory refused Logan. He was a bastard. I think it was the perfect ending for the series, if she'd got married to him that would have been the beginning of the end for her and she'd have ended up like Emily.

Thank you for starting this thread - guess what I'll be doing at 4pm today! Loved the Gilmore Girls and had a huge crush on Luke :)

I watched the whole series while I was pregnant too! It was all I could cope with, it's so wholesome!

I love Lorelai and all the literature references. And the fast talking. Fantastic.

And Lane. And Sookie. I miss it.

Loved it too, DP called it breastfeeding tv as I would record it and watch it for mammoth feeding sessions. I have series one on DVD. I loved Luke too (wonder what mnetters would have made of him on the relationships boards!)

I miss it too. I have find memories of coding up with dd watching it. Almost wort getting pregnant to have the excuse! I even googled this area in the states to find a perfect place just like this. Seemingly the main actors would agree to a further series unless it was only 8 episodes otherwise they wanted more money Sad hope me and my dd are like lorelie and Rory though Smile

What season is being shown on Channel 5 at the moment?

I love this show and I'm another one who wants to live in Stars Hollow.

I think its good they didn't do any more seasons. For me it started to loose its magic at season 5.

I suppose there had to be a shift in the tone of the show as they grew older but I hated the Rory/Logan relationship. He was a proper arse.

I live in the english version of Stars Hollow. Very community minded. Lots of wacky characters. Strange historical traditions. I lurve it

I wonder what happened to some of the actors in it who we never see any more.
Particularly Rory, I wonder what she looks like now and if she has been in anything else.
I loved the series, though it did go off the boil a bit when Luke found his long lost daughter, she was really annoying.

Rory was in Sin City but I think that was made during her time on GG. I would like to think she eventually got back together with Jess. He grew up, had a book published and was making his own way with his book collective thing so they would have been good together. I didn't like Logan at all.

The original writer left under a bit of a cloud, and admitted she deliberately messed things up by writing in Luke's daughter which is when it got a bit rubbish imo.

Rory was in a couple of episodes of the latest series of Mad Men, seducing Pete Campbell, which just made me imagine what Lorelai would have to say.
I think Lorelai is in Parenthood which is on 5 or 5 USA in he afternoons at the moment.

Oh, and going back a few years Luke was in a couple of the Saw films!

I had completely forgotten about Lukes daughter - and her mum! They both did just seem like annoying/unnecessary characters. And that bit where Luke went on a cruise and married that lawyer Confused That was just bizarre and so un-luke. I suppose they needed to do something to create a Luke/Lorelai relationship.

I love Kirk. I think he is actually a scarily realistic character. Paris too - I was so happy when she turned up at Yale Grin
