are there (almost) never polish builders shown?

I thought you were going to ask why they are building a minimalist, concrete cube house on a perfectly nice garden in Brixton.

And why they keep whining about having no money hmm

He reminds me of David Brent

If ever there was a couple I wanted to get pregnant in the middle of a build, it's these. Can you imagine the turmoil of your perfect concrete and chipboard interior being sullied with crates of peppa pig and fireman Sam plastic tat...

Can you imagine grin

I would wheel round a first Steps Vtech baby walker...puppy says, clap your hands!

At least Ikea try to hide their chipboard

MousyMouse Wed 26-Sep-12 21:29:40

grin
I can just imagine it.
I like the glas panels.

Lexilicious Wed 26-Sep-12 21:31:40

You could paint all the brio the same slate grey. Technic Lego only.

MousyMouse Wed 26-Sep-12 21:31:44

just imagine the echo.
hel hel lo lo pu pu py py

How do you clean all that glass?

Aboutlastnight Wed 26-Sep-12 21:34:40

She would be a 'wooden toys only' mum - until one is lobbed at the glass wall...

iklboo Wed 26-Sep-12 21:37:50

I hated that bloody MDF barn.

MousyMouse Wed 26-Sep-12 21:40:27

that mdf barn reminded me of a bunkhouse in sweden were we spent a night when camping.
it just looks so... unfinished

MousyMouse Wed 26-Sep-12 21:42:01

oh, have you seen the staircase?
topple at the top and you are all the way down.

Barn did look like a camping barn. This house I think looks awful against the other houses, too much of a visual shock and so imposing.

Lexilicious Wed 26-Sep-12 21:43:03

How well does crayon work on plywood? Very effective I should think.

Lovescourgettes Wed 26-Sep-12 21:45:45

This house leaves me cold I am afraid, totally lacking in any warmth or atmosphere and the chipboard just looks really scratchy and uncomfy...

MousyMouse Wed 26-Sep-12 21:48:10

it does look out of place.

MousyMouse Wed 26-Sep-12 21:49:26

last week's was cool, though.

Lexilicious Wed 26-Sep-12 21:50:03

I doubt they give a flying triple glazed panel what us petit bourgeoisie think of their harsh chipboard. They're designers, dahhhhhling. Artists.

[secretly wish I could be that different]

kellestar Wed 26-Sep-12 21:50:42

yuk! looks like it's made of strips of ice.

I can't believe they managed to sell the barn & who has 4 beds in a bedroom?!?

kellestar Wed 26-Sep-12 21:53:18

my DD would love to paint on those walls. it's a toddlers dream, the sticky finger prints, mushy pea's on the ceiling, pee stains on the concrete.

Ive decided I don't like minimalism.

HazeltheMcWitch Wed 26-Sep-12 21:56:10

But whyyyy were there 4 single beds in one room in the Norfolk barn?
What did they do in there? And is that linked to wanting to live in a big glass box in Brixton?

Mark my words, the one concession to non-minalism will be a giant pampas grass, which will be revealed in the closing short (maybe).
