Who do you want to win Masterchef?

I am rooting for 'Digger' Dean. I think he is doing brilliantly. Those 'Faberge' egg things he did last night looked brilliant (wouldn't want to eat one though - yuck!!) Could be because he is quite good looking though!! Although not sure about his mouth when he smiles - if he kept it shut I wouldn't kick him out of bed!! Grin

I like him too cos he is such a get on and do it type. I liked them all eating theirs in the kitchen with their fingers. Peter is dull and Daksha is tiresome after a short while to me.

Looking forward to this this week, a lovely series.

know what you mean about Dean when he smiles! He looks like he's not a full shilling, IYKWIM. I think he'll def win.

I don't mind whether it is Daksha or Dean

But please NOT Peter

Dean or Daksha, Peter is just a tosser.

Then again, I thought Thomasina was useless last year and yet she won! I really hope it isn't Peter though, he knew fine what he was doing when he stood chatting to the chefs at the Ritz instead of going to help Daksha.

Nearly choked today when he said he was famous for his sauces! Yes, famous for not being able to do them!

Dean!

I like Daksha but she keeps flapping soooo much.

i liked the american woman. peter is foul. daksha is rather dull but dean is telegenic so suppose he'll get it.

Dean gets the vote in our place from me and dd (who is only 6). She loves this show and predicted accurately except one week who would go! Peter flaps around too much and is crap at timing and other important chef qualities. And Daksha, I just don't see her lasting full-time as a chef whereas Dean seems to really want this for all the right reasons.

Oh, and dd is at her dad's on Friday so she phoned him last night and asked him to tape it for her so she doesn't miss it! I could hear him saying "masterchef? Are you sure?"!

Definitely Dean, I wanted him from the moment he came on.

He is a much better prospect, if i was running or opening a restaurant I think he would make a brilliant partner. Peter is useless, get back to cooking for friends I think and Daksha is too temperemental and stubborn, and I think she should really open a brilliant Indian restaurant.

I had a dream about this programme a couple of weeks ago and my task was

kill a swan and present it to eat as part of a picnic! I did the swan killing by bare hand and panicked and ended up with three tiny slices of greenish meat in crumpled tin foil! they criticised my presentation

Definitely Dean. He's such a good all-rounder - and far more humble than the other two. Daksha's good, but she flaps and has a bit of a problem with authority. Peter's just a horse's buttock.

Another Dean fan here. Grin

Dean. Not Peter as I keep thinking his sweat might get in the food

Dean. Because he's pretty. And he drives diggers.

Daksha is a pain in the backside and will not manage in someone else's kitchen - although she'd probably make a great, stroppy head chef in her own place. And Peter is a middle-class dinner party bore with no va-va-voom.

another dean fan here!! even though he's got less experience than the other two;,he way out performs the other two when working in a professional kitchen. and ok, yeah he's cute Blush!

DEAN!!!!

dp is getting a bit annoyed i rant about him so much, but he wants it more than either of them, he's a better all rounder and he's the one who would be most likely to actually make a career of it.

there, i'm done Wink

Did anyone's opinion of Peter change tonight, as he did do rather well?

Report
RTKangaMummy · 16/03/2006 20:32

But imho it was unfair as french was his speciality

Report
RedZuleika · 16/03/2006 20:35

He did well, but he had less ground to make up than the other two. I still want Dean to win.

I do think Daksha's good though. If she brought out a cookbook of Gujerati (sp??) recipes, I'd buy it. My husband is particularly interested in her puds.

TwoIfBySea · 16/03/2006 20:47

I really hope tonight didn't swing it in Peter's favour.

Dean has been more consistent in all his tests whereas Peter is all over the place and really dumped them in it yesterday by pulling a sickie! And true, if you ate in his restaurant you'd get a side order of sweat, yeuk!

I really hope Dean wins as I think it really will change his life, also because he is the only one who hasn't moaned about any of the others and also because the prize is to work on a progfessional kitchen and he has been the best in this enviroment

I wanted Daksha to win, until she threw that stupid paddy on the QE2. Since then she has been annoying me more and more. Peter is an old stick-in-the-mud. So Dean it is.Grin
