What a relief - I'm going to be bereft without the Olympics - until Tuesday Smile

I just set up the sky plus for this - baking and Paul Hollywood! Mmmm mmmm.

Hooray. Just set series link. I love the bake-off recipe book - it's now officially my favourite baking bok and the one I go to first when I want to make something new.

Yay, love it! EmpireBiscuit, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that Paul Hollywood is a bit phwoar. I reckon my DP will look like him in about 10 years time - he's a strapping lad too who has a v similar hairstyle and a goatee, when he goes grey he will be the spitting image I reckon. Lucky me Wink He doesn't bake any cakes though - you can't have everything I guess Smile

I was with you til you started slavering over salty dog Paul Hollywood. Bleugh!

Have you seen how much salt he puts in recipes? I got a magazine with stuff by him and it was tablespoon! Must taste disgusting.

Mary Berry is lovely, though.

MrsChemist · 11/08/2012 13:17

He does insist on a lot of salt in things. If I wet to do the bake-off, I'd put extra salt in all the savoury dishes, just to keep him happy.

Have any MNers ever applied, do you think? My friends said I should, but I think they are over estimating my baking skills.

Shock

I really do hope that wasn't a Freudian slip.

I cannot wait. Havent bought the book yet though.

Last years winner Jo has a book out now too. Sainsburys had it beside the series book. I think both will have to be purchased.

Its my birthday next week :o

how spooky, was only thinking yesterday when will there be another mumsnetter cookery programme watch-along ! excellent. Can we bitch on bake off - the contestants do tend to be a little naicer than ones on masterchef...
