Have watched this every year as DD was born in the year 2000 but DP is watching Invasion

Could always watch it upstairs but will end up going to bed too early then.

I think it's briliant.

I get frustrated with the half finished things - so why is the little lad exuberant/shy/unhappy? They never seem to follow through and get to the bottom of things.

I missed the first half but am so glad it is on a sunday cos now i can always watch it.

I think it is a fantastic programme, and love to watch as Dd2 was born the same year as the children.

Is Ethan the one who was previously quite sheltered by mum as his parents had lost a baby before he was born, so played on his Xbox a lot ?

LIZS, his mum has depression after he was born and he was left in his cot a lot when she slept IIRC.

Remember one of them , and had thought it was him, played quite violent computer games and had scored really highly for reaction times in one test.

Helena is adorable but I'm sure she has her moments.

Ethan is the Irish one. I'm not sure if he has any brothers actually... was it not the child with diabetes who's mum had the PND?

Report
Blossomhill · 15/01/2006 21:19

I remember being quite when I saw Ethan left in his cot. He was still a baby at the time and I am surprised that no one interevened professionally once this was seen tbh

I do empathise as had pnd myself but still felt very

child with diabetes mum had pnd after her first 2, but not after jamie. Well that's what it said tonight. I do remember his mum had trouble bonding with him and his dad did a lot of the caring.

Was I the only one yelling at the telly when the little boy with diabetes was riding over those concrete ramps on his bike "why hasn't he got a helmet on?!" Those ramps were deadly looking - I was really shocked (especially as his Mum kept saying "be careful" to him). Kept looking at those hard concrete edges and thinking of him falling onto one...

I love Helena - she is such a character (she's the one who was in hospital such a lot as a baby - was she the only preemie survivor of triplets or have I got her muddled up?) Her voice makes me think of Audrey Hepburn

I thought Ethan had another brother - but didn't see him tonight. Wasn't his Mum absolutely desperate for a girl?
