Thought there would be a thread on this! I really liked it. Kind of like The West Wing but in Danish, so extra double concentration needed.
Loved Strange in it and the lovely Jan. I thought Strange looked more his age in it. Still would.
My new favourite show - just brilliant. Love Birgitte, love Strange in it and all those great Danish light fittings.

capture i said to dp several times "look at those lights!"
and when they had the coffee flask on the breakfast table in the house - that was another "want one" moment.... would do me nicely during the working day - any of our skandi friends around to point me in the right direction for a purchase????

Oh yes, Amina. She's trouble and no mistake.
I was a bit baffled that she didn't have more 'people' around her. Very laid back those Danes.

Ditto stalker student...could definitely cause trouble.

It's fab. I want Birgitt for PM here! And Strange in this is the perfect partner (unlike in the killing2!) I am going to force my partner to study his supportive ways and copy them to the letter.
here will have to do some saving. There is always ebay.

Though I may have to stop doing that if you are right about Amina!

Oh Pantah. I am so jealous of you. You'll get to pop your The Killing cherry and enjoy it for the first time. It's very, very good. Treat yourself to the boxset, unplug the phone and savour it.

TK Maxx prob good for the flask. My mum spend some time in Denmark youth so were adopters of the coffee flask and the smorgasbord approach to daytime eating. Tak formal (spelling! but Danish for thank you for that lovely meal - may I leave the table now - but oh so much more concise) is frequently used in our house !!
And yes loved Borgen - particularly the strong female leads- though have pissed DH off repeating the Danish phrases in a terrible accent all the way through it!
Godnat all!

I'm so into all this skandi stuff, I've suggested a drving holiday to Denmark and Sweden to DH.
Loving the light fittings too. I have a book called 1000 Lights and there a quite a few in there. 'DH, look, look, that light's in that book you gave me'. DH can't handle the subtitles though.
On the Killing II, I said this and I must say it again, these Danes do middle age really well.
Mmm. Strange, I still would. Meyer, too. Not together of course, that would be too much.

I have it taped, can't wait. Meyer and Strange? Excellent. Tell you what though. I rather would with Brix from the killing. Yes the Danes do middle age very well. I would with Trols Hatmann too
Loved it! Haven't seen the Killing either.
Had complete house envy too. I wasn't entirely sure what was going on most of the time but I felt that way about the west wing at first too.

I'm glad there is a thread on this - looked last night after the first episode but couldn't find one and too lazy to start one.
Loved it. Didn't get Strange in the Killing but so would now. Am happily a long term singleton but would recondsider for him! (what is Strange's real name btw, we surely can't keep calling him Strange for this! (and Meyer for that matter).
And yy to all the fabulous furnishings. The desk lights at the Parliament building must be standard issue as they were also in the Killing.
Oh, yes, and a great story too..!

Only started last night mousyMouse so no probs there. I thought it was great, very West Wing but with more oestrogen and obviously more laid back. Where was the rest of her party though? And her other half, surely too good to be true? I couldn't watch the other Scandi BBC4 stuff as I can't do real life type murders, but this is perfect.
