Does anyone have any good ideas for stocking fillers for almost 13 year old DS? They need to be VERY cheap as he's getting an xbox for joint xmas and birthday (jan) but would like some oter little bits to open on the day. So far i've got him Lynx and socks, oh and a chocolate orange!

I have a 13 year old DS who has a birthday at the beginning of Jan. He never knows what he wants for his BD after Christmas.

This age is quite hard to buy for as they have outgrown toys. Does he read? DS likes the Guiness book of records every year.
I have got him some those bright gaudy boxers from topman as stocking fillers as I know he loves them. They are £5 a pair. You can get them at Matalan or Primark as well.

A poster for his room? DS bought himself a Modern Warfare 2 poster from HMV for about £4. They have all the bands & other poster shops have football teams or whatever.

Harpers Bazaar is good. Bought ds a chocolate russian roulette game from there for about a fiver which was a lot of fun (12 chocolate "bullets", you spin the gun and each eats one. One of them however has chilli inside).

Book of cinema vouchers, token for go karting/paintballing/insert whatever.

If he is sporty a relevant ball/googles/mouthguard,etc. Starbucks swipe card.

Homemade voucher for YOU will do xxxx when requested (always good for a laugh), could be cook fav dinner, pick up from mall, etc.

Some sunflower seeds for a competition so you can give him x y or z per foot it grows ;-)and he can give you washing up/car cleaning etc if yours grows taller.

USB (always helps to have another one), powerball (see amazon), boys mud face mask thingy, choc coins, credit top up for phone,

Fizzy bath bomb (might get him to take a bath), stripy scarf, poster, book voucher, new wallet.

Ripleys Believe it or Not
Tube of smarties
Science putty (great for promoting concentration!)
Hat
Hobby related items (my son's keen on drumming so got him two cow bells to attach to his drum kit)

I have this problem. I have read all the ideas and am still not inspired as ds is not really into a lot of the things mentioned here.

So far, my ideas are:

chocolate something
socks
pants
a book (don't know what though)
a dvd (have bought all the Indiana Jones films and am going to divide them all between my children)
two way radio (again, for all of them - works out at about £8 each so not that cheap but I think it will appeal)
small airfix model
shower gel

I still need at least 2 more items.

I got a boxed set of the Adrian Mole books for £10 online. I think it was from the Book People. Must be years ago since I read the original but I remember his obsessions and fantasies and I suspect DS will identify with him.

Wow thanks for the ideas. Have just ordered posters for my three from gbposters.com - Modern Warfare, Nintendo and dogs.

If you have DCs who are musical, musicroom.com does good gifts and sheet music. Got DD a Queen compilation for piano as we are going to see We Will Rock You before Christmas.
