That's really sweet, aaa, I bet she will love it. (You are a loon of course but I expect she knows that already )

Nooooo, I think that's a lovely idea. I bet it'll make her feel really grown-up being given posh flowers. Good luck to your dd

That'a a lovely idea, I bet she'll really appreciate it - and as others have said feel 'grown up' getting sent flowers.

oh and as for the 'loon' bit........well don't ALL teenagers think their mum's are loons at some point or other

I think thats a lovely thing to do, I remember my Mom buying me flowers when I'd finished my GCSSE's and I felt so grown up!

She'll be thrilled I'm sure. Is it English today?

She will love it - what a top mum you are! Good luck to all taking their exams - I remember it well. My mum gave me a good luck card that she had cross-stitched - still have it.

What a lovely idea ! I only managed a card but think it was appreciated. Hormone/stress levels very high with DD1 today and english lit paper!

That's lovely. Wish my mum had done the same!

I think it is lovely. We bought my sds a present when he sat 11+ rather than when he got the result.

I think it lets them know how special they are and that you acknowledge the pressure they are under rather than the test result being the be all and end all.

Almostanangel - was it your daughter who was upset a while back and you found it was boy trouble and pressure of exams? One of your first posts? I remember thinking then how caring you were and you have firmly confirmed my initial thoughts. I hope the exams go really well for her and that she has a lovely Summer to relax.

lemonice - what about buying him a CD of his favourite band? Or going out for a curry tonight or something to just ease the pressure (do teenagers want to go out for curries with their parents????) .
