Can anyone tell me the pitfalls of Bebo before I allow DS to use it please?

OK I use MN and can shop for England online but I've never used FB or Bebo being far too old .

DS wants to sign up for bebo and I just wonder what ground rules I need to set?

He uses MSN and understands the need to keep personal info private but I'm just wary of stuff coming back to haunt him.

Any tips gratefully accepted.

keep it simple no age dob personal info and make sure he keeps his page private so only people he adds / knows can see whats on it and talk to him i find bebo alot safer than facebook

Yeah private page so only friends he as added can see, also like mummy247 said you can set it so comments have to be viewed and approved before they appear on his profile page.

How old is he? Bebo have a minimum age, can't remember what it is cos I'm old too!

Probably less of an issue with boys, but a chat about which photos are suitable for uploading wouldn't go amiss
