DD,16, has an interview at new look tomorrow and has been told to dress smart casual. Found out super last minute, they only rang at 6, so have no time to go out and buy something.

None of my clothes will fit so I'm not sure what she could wear.

Any suggestions of what's appropriate and what's not will be so helpful.

TIA

Always dress for the job you want. So think about what she would wear if she was working in their shop. Dark trousers, a nice jumper or shirt, shoes she can walk in

New look did this to me too when I was 17. They emailed me at half 5 on a Sunday to tell me I had an interview at 9.30am Monday morning. Hmm Wasn't sure it was legit so I called them when they opened at 9 to check and see if there is any way to change the time to even an hour later. It was a real interview and no I couldn't change the time. So I had no time at all to prepare an outfit.

I wore a nice pink lacy top, white jeans(wanted black but they were in the wash) and my white converse(didn't have any more appropriate shoes as I have always lived in trainers).

I thought I ducked my interview as I hadn't had anytime to research about new look so knew nothing when they asked. I got the job though. Haha.

I'd go for a casual dress (skater style or similar) with opaques and flats. Obviously wear something from New Look if she's got it. I did fashion retail work during Uni and was asked a few times in interview to talk about the outfit I was wearing

So think about what she would wear if she was working in their shop.

The stores around here just wear a tshirt and jeans.

I'd say a nice top, jeans are okay but only white or black not blue and perhaps some ballet flats or ankle boots?
