Hi everyone I'm Charlotte and I had my little girl 3 weeks ago. I am 16 and I was 15 when I found out I was pregnant. Me and her dad have been together for nearly 2 years and we pay for everything that she needs. If you want to know anything else just ask me as I won't mind answering your questions. smile

And why exactly are you posting?

Not sensible to be using real names.

gamerchick Wed 21-Sep-16 20:41:53

I'm not really sure how to respond to that OP but didn't want to leave you unanswered.

PurpleDaisies Wed 21-Sep-16 20:43:27

If those are your real names you should report your post and get it deleted. Have another go without the identifying information.

I just wanted people to know a little about me and see if there are any other in the same place as me

newmummyy16 Wed 21-Sep-16 20:47:51

Okay thanks for the information about it. Do you think I shouldn't of shared mr story or something

gamerchick Wed 21-Sep-16 20:49:54

Well I kinda hope there isn't if im honest OP, but there probably are forums out there which have teen pregnancys and parenthood on them if you don't get any joy here.

Have you name changed?

Generally people have a question or start a discussion rather than just giving random biographical facts.

Also this topic is to discuss the horror of raising teenagers which is a way off for you right now.

Congratulations on the baby.

seven201 Wed 21-Sep-16 20:56:46

Congratulations on your new baby! As someone else mentioned this is a thread about teenagers rather than for teenagers if you see what I mean. There are various areas though that might be of interest eg there's a sleep one, a feeding one etc if you have specific questions etc.

How are you, B and her dad all getting on?

Soubriquet Wed 21-Sep-16 20:59:26

If she wishes to "out" herself that is entirely her choice

She wouldn't have given those details if she genuinely minded it

I don't get the issue with it tbh. It's not against the guidelines and some people don't care if they identifiable online

Congrats to your baby OP

I wish you luck

LeonoraFlorence Wed 21-Sep-16 21:02:23

Congratulations! Enjoy every second smile

Omgkitties Wed 21-Sep-16 21:04:21

Hope you and your baby are well OP! flowers Congratulations!

I would've had tons of advice for a new, teenage, mum and had a 4 year old but I unfortunately miscarried. 😔

newmummyy16 Wed 21-Sep-16 21:10:50

Thank you and all 3 of us are getting on great me and my boyfriend love being parents even though we are both 16 we can handle it as we provide everything she needs.

Soubriquet Wed 21-Sep-16 21:12:54

One thing I do hope you post, is things to discourage teens from getting pregnant. Not encouraging it

Frazzled2207 Wed 21-Sep-16 21:14:47

Congratulations on the arrival of your babyflowers
Hope it's not too hard going, is your mum helpful too?

Horsegirl1 Wed 21-Sep-16 21:17:52

Gosh some people are so bloody rude. The poor girl has done nothing wrong. You post away OP. xx

Horsegirl1 Wed 21-Sep-16 21:19:29

When you say you provide her with everything does this mean you live alone and dad goes out to work or are you living with patents ? Do you have good support ?

YetAnotherHelenMumsnet (MNHQ) Wed 21-Sep-16 21:34:23

Hi there Charlotte,
We have just shaved off some of the more identifying factors to that first post, not because you did anything wrong AT ALL but just because we think it's a little safer that way for everyone.
Congratulations on your little baby, and welcome to MN.

BeingATwatItsABingThing Wed 21-Sep-16 21:38:30

Congratulations OP.

I was 19 when I had DD. It's hard but I don't think it's any harder for a teen than it is for a 30 something year old. Just enjoy it and take each day as it comes.

newmummyy16 Thu 22-Sep-16 08:41:26

I'm not going to encourage teen pregnancy and I'm just going to be posting on how my life is as a teen mum. As some people may not have the same amount of support as me so I would love to help them through it. X

newmummyy16 Thu 22-Sep-16 08:44:13

Thank you again for congratulation messages. And yes my mum helps out whenever I need to do something for school or have a shower that's when my boyfriend hasn't finished work yet as he finishes around 6. But she loves her granddaughter so much she will do anything for her.smile

newmummyy16 Thu 22-Sep-16 08:46:08

My and my boyfriend don't have our own place yet but we are hoping to in the future. But we provide her with clothes, nappies and milk but we haven't brought any yet as I am breastfeeding.

newmummyy16 Thu 22-Sep-16 08:47:16

Thank you for shaving off that information and that's nice of you to do that for me and my family smile

newmummyy16 Thu 22-Sep-16 08:49:19

I think that is true that a teen parent and a 30 year old parent can find it the same amount of difficulty as raising a baby is tough whatever age. And I'm not encouraging teen pregnancy by saying that.

Aw poor Charlotte I bet she's come on here and thought the teenagers section was for teen mums. Easy to do that! Welcome Charlotte, hope you enjoy mumsnet and get lots of good advice and support.
