But who will buy the crisps?

I am busy putting together my CV and applying for a new fairly senior professional job which would mean going full time after having worked 4 days a week for the last 10 years. My 13 yr old DS asks what I am doing so I explain that any new job would be full time now that he and his sister (15) are old enough now for me to get my career back on track.

As I usually do the weekly shop on my "day off" his immediate reaction to my career ambition was ... But who will buy the crisps! What kind of boy have I raised??? Teenagers, selfish. No!

Make sure you include the crisp-buying role on the CV. Grin

Sounds like a pretty normal 13 year old boys response to meGrin
Does he do the eating directly out of the fridge thing yet? If not then you still have that delight to comeGrin

Or telling you there is nothing to eat in the house unless it can be inhaled without cooking. Grin

Or drinking juice from the carton and putting it back in the fridge empty.

You have to laugh. I think I'd be tempted to point out that you'll need more help around the house and perhaps he'd be willing to do a top up shop for you once a week (and that can include his much wanted crisps on the list!).
