My dd is still asleep but when she wakes up I'll ask her - there are types of lip gloss/balm she loves & buys when we are there.

Make-up and perfume can work out a lot cheaper, depending on which brands she likes!
Converse, Vans, Levi jeans,Radley......
We have been lucky enough to go to the States lots of times, and each time i have sorted Christmas and/or lots of birthdays.
The shopping is amazing over there....... Enjoy Grin

My daughters like Brandy Melville for clothes and it costs the same in $ as £. They like EOS lip balm/gloss. Hollister, Abercrombie, Gilly Hicks etc are all much cheaper & you can find items which aren't heavily branded.

Something little like a purse from Marc by Marc Jacobs or Michael Kors. SO much cheaper.

Avoid 'flag ship' stores and stick to ordinary malls for the cheapest prices and offers. Hollister etc all have clearance at the back of the stores. All the above mentioned stores will be popular with a 16 year old.

My Ds loves Aerpostale clothing. It's a bit like Hollister but cheaper, and isn't available in the UK so has a bit of kudos. The last time we were in New York he spent all his money there. They do girls clothes as well as boys.

Thinks like Hollister, A&F and Pink are all pretty much the same price in $ as it is in £s, so cheaper.

MAC make up is same too = so again good savings.
