I have a book that was recommended but didn't realise it was a Christian based book and have just read 'Obviously, it's okay to express the desire and hope to our children that they will live a heterosexual life'. Wtf. Does anyone have anything more sensible?

Is it just me who finds that an awful statement? I have no reason to think our teenager is gay, but if he was would that statement not be pretty damaging?
Teen realised I have posted on here: 'I really don't see how you think a book will help you'.
