I put a post in secondary education but no comments do far. Does anyone have experience of this scheme? They want to have my 16-17 DS x2 for 2 weeks doing outward bound stuff, learning employability skills and how to please admission tutors. Sounds great is it as good as it sounds?

It's new, so I don't know if anyone would know yet.

It does sound like a good thing, if well executed.

Its not new i think it has been running a few years, as my ds was going to do it last year but it clashed with something else. I posted about it last year at the end of this thread

I am working as an Assistant Team Leader with the Suffolk NCS summer workshop this year. I think that it does sound great, this is its 3rd year and has been hugely successful so far. I definitely think it gives young people the chance to branch out and meet new friends (good practice for university), learn new skills and develop a social action project to enhance their local community.
