Really worried ,just found out our teenage son has been spending huderds of pounds on buying points for his x box .Just wanted to warn you all beware .Eac 2000 points is £17 to buy and our son spends loads of time on the games .He is 17 and I am now very scared he is addicted .

We have passwords on everything where things can be downloaded & kids have to ask us for permission beforehand as they don't know passwords. It's best way of controlling costs & also type of games they are downloading. It's really easy to set up passwords.

Only way to curb addiction is to limit his time on video games. Most teenage boys could easily spend all day gaming but it's not healthy.

Thank you ,we have sat down and had a disucssion with him and he was shocked with the amount he had spent we we added it up .He now has packed the x box up nad wants to sell it .(one relieved mam )

Glad you've sorted it out and pleased to hear that your son took it v.seriously too. I suppose if he sells it, that money can pay you back for what he spent on buying points!
