WWYD boob job

DD1 now 15 has asked would I let her have a boob job?
I have replied by saying she would have to be over 18-20 as breast tissue is still developing till then, that she needs to research it thoroughly, the long term implications and costs of replacement implants due to limited life span ...
anything else I could of or should have said? I have tried not to ban or be too obstructive?

The thing is, she would not be eligable for a boob job until she is 18, and as it costs a lot of money, if she really wanted one, she would either have to earn, or she would have to borrow the money ?? off you. If she earns the money herself, you will have no real say in whether she has it or not, she will officially be an adult, but lending the money would leave you with the controlling power. Hopefully, by the time she gets old enough to be able to actually have this surgery, she would be mature enough to make a more informed descision than a 15yr old would be.

That's what I was hoping TBH. I don't want to make it a banned option but I'd really rather she didn't. So far she seems to have have gone off the idea. The final straw for her seemed to be to long term financial commitment. Hopefully she'll forget all about it.

Why not start by boosting her confidence in her body as it is rather than supporting a message that she needs to surgically change it? All teenagers have body issues but hopefully with better self esteem will grow out of it- having major surgery with all the risks attached has to be a last resort options urely!
