Hey guys, I'm a fairly average teenage girl. If you want a teenagers view on something then feel free to ask. Sometimes its better to get a teenagers point if view on something to see what its like for them. So feel free to ask.

Are you aware that there are women on this forum? Not just men

VivaLeBeaver · 02/12/2012 16:56

Rossignol or Salomon skis, which should I buy?

Sparklingbrook · 02/12/2012 16:56

What is that duck face pouty thing that teenage girls do on FB all about?

Bluestocking · 02/12/2012 16:56

What do you think a hipster is?

TheNebulousBoojum · 02/12/2012 16:59

What, again?

HipsterTeen · 02/12/2012 17:00

@YuleBritannia Of course I am this is mumsnet but I still find its better to have a teenagers view on things

@VivaLeBeaver Both are good brands. Both have good racers on their teams and both are well respected in the industry. The best way to find out which brand and model you prefer is to go to a demo day and try each one.for several hours. Remember how a ski is tuned will make a big difference in how it performs. The base bevel will make a difference in the turn initiation, how the edge bevel is cut will make a difference in how easy they hold. An expert skier will adjust to a new pair of skis in less than an hour. That is one reason that the magazine demos are limited to 2-3 runs per tester. I repeat try to demo each brand and model, talk to the ski shop employees and find out what they use. But I personally prefer Rossignol as they have sharper turns

Hope this helps x

Is Twitter broke?

HipsterTeen · 02/12/2012 17:02

@SparklingBrook the duck face is a horrible expression girls do in facebook picture eg. www.stustake.com/wp-content/gallery/duckface/duckface-4.jpg they think it looks good, it doesn't

@bluestocking a hipster is a fashion subculture like an emo or goth

OP posts:
HipsterTeen · 02/12/2012 17:03

@TessGoesDirectToBethlehem I don't think so I don't actually use twitter

Bluestocking · 02/12/2012 17:04

OK. So how would I recognise a hipster teen in the street? I know what a goth and an emo look like.

VivaLeBeaver · 02/12/2012 17:05

Thanks hipster, I was leaning towards the Rossignols. Grin

andadietcoke · 02/12/2012 17:05

Heehee. This is like asking Siri questions.

SoggySummer · 02/12/2012 17:05

Oh and I thought hipsters were trousers that sat on the hips instead of waist! Wink

Sparklingbrook · 02/12/2012 17:05

It makes me laugh Hipster. I am sure they think they look lovely but they would look better if they just smiled. Smile

DS1 is 13. He would love to have a girlfriend but all the 13 year old girls look about 25 and terrifying. When does the gap start to lessen?

VivaLeBeaver · 02/12/2012 17:06

Shock

You copied that from yahoo answers! Naughty Hipster!

HipsterTeen · 02/12/2012 17:07

@ VivaLeBeaver no problem x

@Bluestocking bobble hats, knitted jumpers with animals, mustaches or super hero logos on them, skinny jeans, big glasses old fashioned technology that they think is ironic.

SoggySummer · 02/12/2012 17:08

where do all year 9 girls get the energy from to be so bloody vile to each other??

Why do they make such drama over the most mundane crap?

VivaLeBeaver · 02/12/2012 17:09

My dd likes moustache stuff and knitted animal jumpers. I must have a hipster pre teen.

RoffleCopter · 02/12/2012 17:10

How will I die?

TrillsCarolsOutOfTune · 02/12/2012 17:10

Are you aware that anyone who actually is a hipster would absolutely deny being one?

HipsterTeen · 02/12/2012 17:10

@They are as well I think but hey

@VivaLeBeaver Aww you got me, I would go for Rossignols though the turns are a lot smoother. I do ski quite a lot.

@SparkingBrook when they get to about fifteen they should realise how stupid they look and stop following the crowd.

She has huge glasses as well.

Sparklingbrook · 02/12/2012 17:10

What is the moustache thing all about?

TessGoesDirectToBethlehem · 02/12/2012 17:12

How many under 15s can grow an ironic moustache?
