Just thought I'd share the joy of having my ds1.

He stayed at a friend's house last night and they went to a party. I got a phone call from the friend's mum at about 11:30pm asking me to pick up a paralytic ds1 (16).

He'd thrown up 3 times and couldn't walk or talk. We put him to bed and dh and I took it in turns to watch him last night.

Needless to say that ds1 feels bloody awful today. He hurts where he fell over, he's had to clean his bedroom and his head is banging. We also made him buy flowers and go and say sorry and thankyou to his friend's mum.

Lesson learned I hope. Oh the joys! Hmm

Oh dear. They are so daft aren't they? DS's friend (let's call him A) went to a party last night with DS and another friend (B). DS came home at 3am, no bother (they're all 18).

Friend B stayed at A's house in his beautifully decorated guest suite and threw up over and in the bed, the walls, the carpet and the en suite.

When he woke up this morning he didn't apologise or say thanks for having me, all he said was "So do you want me to help you clean it up" to B's mum.

Grin and Hmm and Sad.

I don't think he'll be staying there again!

Yes. I hope he does learn. Ds didn't want to buy flowers but that was none negotiable from me. I just hope they don't have carpet in their conservatory where he also threw up. :(

I do hope he cleaned up after himself!

Rite of passage?

Ds's friend was pretty far gone too. There was no way he was capable of cleaning up after himself. He couldn't even stand!

The flowers went down well though and he was invited to Sunday dinner there.

I think yes to a rite of passage.

My ds threw asda chicken tikka masala up all over his bedroom. I had to replace his duvet. He said if he'd knew that was all he had to do the would have done it sooner Hmm.
Now he's 18 I worry more than when he was a toddler.

Not good brightermornings. I had hoped he was growing up a bit but that obviously comes with it's own problems. Shock

I had a phone call when DS2 was 15 from his friend's mother at her son's party in a church hall. It was 7.30pm. The party started at 7.30pm. My DS had arrived legless, curled up on a sofa and went to sleep while she rang me. I went to pick him up, 2 girls helped him across the dancefloor and into the car and he giggled all the way home and ate 2 pizzas and then slept for 14 hours!! (This was supposed to be my girls night in with DD!!)

I'm now thinking the sooner he moves out the better. Grin

Waits for someone to come on and say that's worse.>

Today's drama. Text off ds he's collapsed on the way to college and he's in an ambulance on his was to a & e.
He's had tests and everything is fine (thank god).
But bloody hell it was horrible. Sad

That would scare the daylights out of me bright - thank God he's ok. Do you know why it happened?

No typical teenager hadn't had any breakfast. A passer by gave him a date incase it was his blood sugar which had dropped while he waited for the ambulance.

I obviously live in a lovely area because he got lots of help and am so grateful to the people who help him.
I've told him he needs to look after himself and listen to his body.

What a relief - hopefully that'll be a warning, fingers crossed!

He's tucked up In bed now. I've told him I'll take him some ready brek in the morning. It does go against my principles he's 18 he should be able to fend for himself but I'd rather do that than an emergency rush to a & e.

Don't blame you. There's plenty of time to nag him when he's over the shock. It's quite a frightening thing when you don't know what's wrong with you. :(

One of DS2's friends (17) was eating a bowl of coco pops whilst waiting for the bus to college the other day.

He finished them off then put the bowl in his college bag!

At least he was getting some breakfast

You've gotta love 'em. Grin

I get that Tess - bowls, mugs, cutlery tumble out when I clear out DD's (15) bags. Ugh.

Ewww to carrying round the dirty crockery but its better than collapsing I suppose. Ds1 was still rough on Tuesday but trying to hide it. I think the more he thought about it the more embarrassed he was. Good!

It will put him off for a little while!!

My ds still isn't well. He's not eaten today and he's tired.
I've told him he needs to go to the doctors. There must be something wrong. I'm off work with a chest infection this week has not been good!!

Oh you poor thing. These things always seem to come together don't they. :(

I agree there may be something else going on with your ds. Do you think he will go to the drs?

I hope you both feel better soon.

At least the drs are making an effort to find out what's wrong. 18 is still young enough to need your mum. :)
