Driving - A Passive Passenger

Hi There

Ok - I am a wuss !!

...anybody else find it hard to let their teen (with you) drive YOUR car before taking their test and not feel nervous...

... this person sitting beside me was a little squirming bundle but yesterday and now they are wanting to do scary things like drive over 30 mph, overtake and parrell park - I used to be nervous when he climbed a tree or went on the swing..

I must admit that I do try to duck out of these responsibilities and let my partner do the driving with him ...

Hopefully I will be better when he has passed his test - but I am not sure that I will be...

Does helicopter parenting ever end ??

Any tips ???

You could go to an empty parking lot and practice. Is your car an automatic? I thought since I took DS1 on all the practice drives, DH should do DS2. But that did not happen. However, that child was a good driver.
