Our teen moved back home recently, and although the younger ones sleep heavily and go to bed early.18 year old is up later (so sitting below us in sitting room) or in the very next room, 6" away through the wall Blush

She's heard us, most embarrassing, and its put me off

How do those with teens manage?!

Put the tv on a bit louder, shut the doors and try to be quiet... Doesn't happen that often in the week for us.

Sunday mornings are good though- no bloody chance of DCs being up then Grin

I try to avoid it as much as possible Wink but it keeps the old boy happy so.....

Sunday mornings are a dim and distant memory - young ones are up then and constant interruptions are quite off putting! Will try TV or music on LOUD! Cheers :o

I have an almost 19 yr old still living at home in a smallish flat and sex is a distant memory we do take advantage if she stays out over night , or very late at the weekend , we also keep the tv on , and just try and be quiet ,

you need to do it more often and louder than ever before, then the problem will want to move out again Grin

If I used the TV on loud technique they would probably come in for a chat thinking we were just watching it.

I thought you were going to ask about managing your teen's sex life. Grin

We also use the Door-Shut-And-Very-Loud-TV technique. A word of warning though, don't have Have I Got News For You on as it can be distracting if your partner starts laughing halfway through

I am :o at these replies! I have been distracted by TV before so I think I shall go with music! got to be better than half an ear listening out and "WHATWASTHAT???" every 5 minutes!

take the 30 day shred DVD into your bedroom and announce that you're about to do the workout.

My noises during this fitness torture were akin to a bison mating so you'd deffo get away with a spot of light bonking.

I could hear my parents, I liked to.
Gave me faith that even if you'd been married forever you could still enjoy it.
They must have heard my now DH and me too.
I use'd to ask my Dad if they'd had fun, he'd grin and Mum would go pink.

Fortunately, we live in an old house with thick walls. DD1 is the other side of the stairs and DD2 in the extension so she's the other side of the old external wall.

Sex on weekend mornings... no self respecting teen is awake before 11am Grin

And frankly I have walked in on one of mine (OLDER teen..19..) cheerfully waving a basket of laundry and we all survived, so I figure I am still entitled to have sex in my house when I can be bothered

medusa we still have little ones too, so Sunday mornings are filled with Skylanders and gymnastics, unfortunately children's not adult's :o

I would have thought a subtle hint about going to the library regularly on a saturday morning, followed by a noisy weely 'session' would get your teen out for a weekly walk..?

We can't hear dd and boyfriend through the bedroom wall so assume they can't hear us. When I was a teenager I got very embarrassed at the thought of my parents having sex so we brought up our dcs knowing that it still goes on at a great age Smile
