My 14 soon to be 15 year old DSD moved in with us a few weeks ago. She has had issues with her mum for many years and we didnt realise how serious they were until a few weeks ago.

She is on the waiting list for the school counsellor and is talking to the school nurse a lot but we would like to try and find someone sooner rather than later.

I have spoken to Relate and they can see her but its £46.00 per session which would be very difficult for us. Our GP's dont have a counselling service, her DP's do but she wont let us phone them as she thinks they will tell her mum. We have tried to explain they wont but she is adamant.

Does anyone know if there are any other services available to us?

If not we will find the money for Relate but I would like to try and find an alternative.

what about childline - they offer a free counselling service - don't know whether your dsd would be happy speaking to them but may be worth a try. They may possibly know of some other free counsellor service if they can't help.
www.childline.org.uk/pages/about.aspx . hope this helps
