Teenager neice help needed

I have a fifteen year old neice who is lovely and beautiful but on the other hand can be mean and nasty. She is truanting from school and running away. The police get called and when she wants to be found cones home. Police have said that if it happens again she will be charged. School have been excellent but all she wants to do is be with her mates and says that's what teenagers do! I didn't !!!! She not got any interest in anything. something needs to be done. Anyone else gone through this?

If she is truanting and running away then she probably needs a bit more help - how are the school assisting?

Any Social Services involvement at all?

What were the police planning on charging her with? (I can only think of wasting police time but that is unlikely).
