Friend's teen smoking weed

Dd has told me that a friend of hers is smoking both cigarettes and weed, also drinking.
She is 14.
I know mum really well, although the girls aren't close anymore. The girl has put pics on FB of her smoking weed.
Ok do I do anything?
Do I tell mum?
Her dd has been in trouble for shoplifting, and she has admitted she expects her to be taking drugs shortly.

Her Mum likely already knows. But mention it anyway, just in case.

Hi

I would definately mention it, cannabis has a really bad impact on a childs personality and mental health. My son started smoking weed around that age and I was so niave I didn't have a clue until his personality completely changed. I put it down to hormones, we had a terrible time. Hope it's not too late!! Apparently kids who take drugs like that from that age damage their brain and don't mature beyond that age. Cannabis has a lot to answer for!

Yes I will make sure she doesn't mention dd- not that she would.
She is such a lovely lady, and just seems resigned to the fact that her dd who is very bright, top stream at school-will get into trouble.
The girl is going to gigs/ parties- taking parents' own booze.

My son was top stream too and it has totally wrecked his life. Extremely intelligent at school. Not top stream now so much potential that will never be realised. Paronoid beyond belief and will never now achieve anything because now weed controls him.
