Hi

I'm at my wits end.My son and his girlfriend ended up pregnant and trminated the pregnancy. I supported they through it and now the girl is quite depressed. I get dogs abuse from my son who is nearly 18 and won't do anything around the house and causes fight frequently to get out of chores. They both ended up living with me because her mother and her just wern't getting on. I have gotten her counselling and talk to her and reassure her as best I can. But I have depression and find it hard so I spoke to my mum at weekend. When I told them she ran off in floods of tears and my son said "You have destroyed my girlfriend" She left and has now moved in with her dad. My so has not contacted me and I left him a message by text explaining my needs and how I felt he was disrespectful and could have discussed it instead of being agressive and rude. I've told him I love him and if he needs anything to come by. I have also suggested he lives with his dad for a while as we no longer live together and he is a " McDonalds dad" as my health can't take much more. Am I awful? have I done the right thing? because my heart is breaking!!

I think you need to talk to him/them. Not text, talk. So much can be lost in text messages.
Good luck.

you have done everything to help these young people, a little repect is called for.

Don't text, go round and bang on the door and make them listen to you
