I don't think it's available as a sep vax. Is it?

I know I had a booster at that age and I have looked on the NHS site which says the 5th injection should be given 10 years after the preschool booster. It does look like it is a combined tetanus/dyptheria/polio.

I am just wondering if it's done in school or we have to sort it out ourselves. DS does a lot of outdoors stuff scouts/DofE/climbing so I want him to have the full course. He had his pre school booster the day before his 5th birthday, so he is due now.

Mine had his preschool booster, then had a jab this year when he was 15.
No, school didn't sort it, quick visit to the practice nurse. And it was free.

All year 10 students will get a letter from their local community child health people through the school about having this booster, sometime between september and may or june. You can choose to have it at school or at the GP, either is free and should be no problem. Anyone aged 16 will be allowed to sign their own consent and does not have to inform their parents.

If you're concerned, then just book an appt with the practice nurse.

Should say that anyone who missed it in year 10 will be offered it again in year 11 when the year 10s are called, hence the point about 16 year olds.

We have just had our letter through the post.
Dd2 is 15 and in year 10.
I was just starting to worry because she does a lot of outdoory stuff too and they do the preschool booster, pre nursery round here so she is late having this one.
