Awwww Christmas Cavy Capers Xmas Grin

Scruffy is probably wise to the fact that the only reason you decorate the tree is not make it Not-All-Green otherwise he'd chomp through it.

Gingerpig looks pretty oven ready in the tray Grin he's grown into a strapping young lad.

Is Current Bun being all Bah Humbug and leaving the pigs to it?

70 - Gingerpig likes being called a 'strapping' lad. I usually refer to him as 'substantial'. He is huge and dwarfs Scruffypig now, but according to Scruffy is not too big to be told off for not washing behind his ears. He was wheeked at furiously yesterday and then a vigorous ear washing by Scruffy followedGrin.

They were unimpressed with the tree - not edible! Currentbun was sulking in his box under the radiator as he'd just had a 'freshen up' of his nether regionsBlush. I'll try to get him to join in festivities later.

I don't blame him. He is a fine figure of a pig!

Xmas Grin

There won't be hats this year because: there are five piggies to dress up.
GP7 and GP8 won't sit nice with the others.

Bert went into the carrybox for 3 minutes after GP7/GP8 had used it - he lives next door to them BTW, a C&C fence divides the groups- and he went all Sid James on us Xmas Shock.
His wives were all Pearl Clutching , he was all "Brrrrr come and Get Me" !

So, they're doing Gunea-Pig Christmas Jumpers a la SockPig.
We got some adult sized (they are lardy) festive hose to make little tube jumpers.
Makes Note To Self to stock up on elastoplast for our poor hands Xmas Wink

Sadie and Mollie have been living next door for the past 3 weeks. I have a chest infection that won't budge and have been unable to give them the love and care they deserve. They are missed like crazy and hopefully will be back before Christmas. In the post yesterday I received my Secret Santa from work - a book of Pride and Prejudice featuring guinea pigs 😃
I will post a picture later.
Now want a boar to call D'Arcy😉

Sorry to hear that East - hope you're all better for Christmas. No doubt the pigs are missing you terribly and are far too upset to enjoy the inevitable spoiling they get from your neighboursWink

Thank you FernieB. I am starting to feel better and hope to have them back mid wheek. Although I know there is a tea party planned for today witb 6 little girls, so Mollie will think she has died and gone to heaven with all the cuddles she'll get.
As promised, pictures of Mr Bingley and Mr D'Arcy and of course Lizzie.
DH has discovered (Google is his friend) that there is a Guinea Pig nativity as well 😃

Ooh , its rough being ill for Christmas Sad

Your pigs will enjoy being spoiled rotten , they will miss you of course. (I was really touched when we picked the hogs up after their holiday in October and little GP5 was wheeking when she heard my voice )

You need to get The Guinea-Pig Nativity, there's a rather fetching grey Rex that plays Herod (I think they're all females, in true Pantomime fashion)

DD and I set up the piggies indoor houses (its been mild here, they were inside when we had freezing/below freezing nights, but out in the Pighouse with tonnes of bedding and Snugglepads when its ok)

I think the guinea pig nativity may be in my Christmas stocking Smile

Had a bit of a difficult conversation with the doctor today. Chest infection isn't really improving despite various meds. As I've been getting increasingly wheezy over the past few months .. the elephant in the room has finally been mentioned .. could it be the girls??
Am so hoping it isn't, I couldn't bear to be without them. Have agreed that they stay next door until chest infection has gone and then ..... well we will see.
I know they'd be fine and NDN would willingly have them .. but honestly cannot bear to even think if it.

On a positive note, Mr Bingley and Mr D'arcy didn't disappoint .. have read their adventures twice now!!

Sorry to hear that East. My boys say there's no way your girls could be causing the wheezing. They think it's far more likely to be a lack of fresh air and suggest hourly grass snipping as a cure Confused. Alternatively, they think you should try herbal remedies such as parsley, basil and lavender - that always works for them. You could grow them near to the girls cage so they can tend the plants for you. Full of bright ideas, my boysGrin

This thread ain't doing me no favours! I want piggys again. Sad I loved mine. You've got me piggy broody.

East I hope you feel better soon.

We have the guinea pig nativity Grin it's fab.

The DietCoke pigs have their trees up and ready to celebrate Smile, although since taking these photos our little agouti girl has already half destroyed the one given to her and Ginger Pig. I suppose it is called a 'tear and shred tree' so she's simply obeying instructions.

Been round to see the girls today and they are coming home tomorrow.
Cannot bear them being away a moment longer.
Have had a chat with them both and asked if they'd consider being wrapped in cling film from now on .. then if it is them causing the wheeze, 'it' will all get trapped in ....

both looked at me HmmConfusedHmm

They could get little rainmacs and galoshes and rain hats - that should keep it all in and the photos would be entertaining for usWink. They'll be pleased to be home tomorrow but won't show it in case you get ideas above your station.
