Scented Candle and small gerbil

Hello oh wise small animal loving ones!

I've just been bought a lovely yankee candle for my birthday and I popped it on my desk (mini office in bedroom) to burn this afternoon. I also have a gerbil who is quite teeny living in the same room as we have cats/dogs in the rest of the house.

DP just came in and pointed out that Yankee candle might be poisonous to small furry :( anyone know anything about this? It didn't even occur to me :(

Obviously easiest thing to do would be to move candle but don't want the rest of the animals breathing it in either if its toxic!

Unless it's a fake one and full of lead Gerb will be fine.
