Halloween is coming and we were ordering DD's costume online. DD says 'why can't we get the guinea pigs a costume?'

'Don't be silly' Says I, 'You can't get costumes for piggies'.

After taking to google, I was proven wrong, very wrong. And now I think my boys NEED superhero costumes for Halloween and santa hats for Christmas!!

Oh wow I knew they did this in Japan but I always thought the delivery time would be so long, it might get lost along the way. But now someone in the UK is supplying! Straight on my ebay watchlist!

Remember Andrex puppy points? I used to get puppy costumes (and cardboard background sets) with these and we'd dress up the girls. Sadly Andrex have stopped it. DD actually made me a photo calendar with guineas dressed up in themed outfits for each month.

I am quite sensible, honestly .......

we dress the guineas up on Christmas Eve for their traditional photo BUT in my defence , it's a hat each , nothing tied or worn on the body.

We buy those little Santa Hats (GP3 had a woolley bobble hat ) and put them on a Christmas fleece on the kitchen floor, then try to get them all looking the same way with the hats on

This year we have the new additions to the herd, I think we'll have our work cut out.
GP7 and GP8 don't know the Christmas Eve Photo Tradition but I'm sure the others will tell them about The Christmas Veg

There was a Guinea suit of armour of eBay a few years back. Poor Guinea.

My DD follows the postings online of a GuineaPig called "Fuzzberta" who is a Rex/Teddy , appears in various costumes , she seems to enjoy it.
Sadly it was announced that Fuzzberta had gone to The Rainbow Bridge .

It's wrong, it's very wrong. However, as they make us run round after them all year catering for their every whim, the least they can do is dress up occasionally for our amusement.

DD put GP1 (her lardy golden agouti boar) in a Build-a-Bear skater dress (and managed to fasten the velcro )

It was Wronger than a Wrong Thing on the Wrong Bus to the Wrong Side of Wrongsville.

It was WRONG .............................he never stopped blardy whingeing about it. Cheer up Chester, you didn't have to wear the skater boots

I need to see photo's of these piggies.

If the boys see pictures of other piggies dressed up I may convince them!!! BUt honestly, they are so getting Santa Hats for Christmas Eve :)
