Our little Mosschops loves a good run, and we have wooden floors. His clear perspex (exercise) balls get scratched really quickly, so he can't see out of them after a couple of weeks. Poor little thing.

So, anyone know where I can get some better ones that don't become opaque through scratches? Or is it just going to be a very regular expense, replacing them? Ta.

Hamsters can barely see anyway so I doubt that he can see the scratches!

We think his sight is not bad for a hamster - he is pretty good at steering the ball around the furniture without crashing into it like our previous hamsters have!

Do hamsters look where they're going anyway? Ours just crashed into everything, including solid walls where he couldn't have thought he'd get under without the ball. Let him crack on in his scratched ball!

Ah, you see Mosschops is a pretty special hamster. Certainly the best we've had. Very friendly. Will just sit on your hand, go to sleep on your lap, is awake at sensible times, and yes, very, very good ball skills too lol!
