Mouselike hamsters - Calomyscidae

I got a pair or these yesterday after doing my research and setting up a tank with loads of enrichment for them. OMG they are fast! They're about the size of a shrew with huge ears and a long tail and they appear to teleport around their tank! They are so much fun to watch as they're so fast and agile.

They're an unusual breed - they aren't hamsters and they aren't mice but are a species dating back to prehistory. They're not keen on being handled but accept it - they take some hanging on to though, LOL

they sound interesting, very cute from what I can see via my Google search.
are they easy to care for?

They seem to be very easy so far. Handling is hard as they're so tiny and fast, they almost never bite so I'm told. I feed them a variety of things including gerbil mix, foreign finch seeds, dried insects, small amounts of fruit and veg. They have a wheel and boy can they run fast! They drink, and therefore pee, very little. I've had them almost a week and their tank still looks and smells very clean. They like places to hide and climb - I have ropes, branches and shelves in their tank, and half coconuts and reptile hides in the tank with them. They like to dust bath sometimes so I have a dish of chinchilla sand in there too.
