Large hamster cage advice please!

Our syrian hamster, Paquita, is 4 months old and is a lot bigger than our previous hamster whose cage she inherited! Can anyone recommend a good size cage for the larger lady please? I have looked online and the cages classed as being large are only 5cm bigger than the one she already has, I'm not sure if that would make much difference! Thanks.

Another vote for the Hamster Heaven cage if you can get it. Its massive but don't think they are making them anymore.

Shame as it's a brilliant cage.

We have a large glass tank with a grid roof that was designed for two rats. It's a ferplast one and a metre long. We bought wooden houses, a toilet and a log tunnel from amazon, and plenty of room left for the largest size wheel. Syrians do like a lot of room,; we also vary the toys every few weeks or so.

Thanks, I've found it on the Pets at Home site. I will have to measure sons chest of drawers when I get home to make sure it fits, if it does I will order it!

Ours took up residence in the little penthouse on the roof very quickly! And he likes to sit in the little pink and green houses too. We got a bigger wheel that the one it comes with though.

My hamsters live in the hamster heaven.

Available here:

www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/small_pets/hutches_cages/hamster_cages/hamster_cages/197362

Plus, if you're a first time customer to zoo plus, you'll get an extra discount.

It's a fab cage, but if your hamster is big, it might not fit in the tubes. Our old hamster didn't, but it comes with alternative bits if you don't use the tubes.

My sons drawers are a little bit smaller than the base of the cage so it's going to be a bit of overhang, but I'm going to order that one! Thanks of your replies!

Yeah I had the Savic Hamster Heaven too. IMHO its the only cage suitable.

I managed to swipe a hamster heaven for £20 on eBay Grin
Was meant to be for another hamster but I'm a soft touch and current one is now living in paradise - two hamster heavens connected with tubes Blush
