So... I need help..

I'm 5ft 7 and a size 14 that's getting a bit tight so pushing size 16.

I'm beginning to think I look a bit like tweedle dum from Alice in wonderland in my skinny jeans (massive bum and hips and teeny legs at the bottom).... but wide legs aren't fashionable .. or are they???

I'm 32 years old and I still kid myself I can look trendy. I want to anyway. So boot legs no no??

And what make?? Next high waisted have served me well but I'm fancying something more substantial for winter...

God knows. Anyway ... any suggestions welcome!!

marking place, have always been a fan of the skinny but I am not so. I also love flares but they are useless as they end up soaked when any water on the ground.

I have Levi's Bold Curve straight legs - similar size and shape to you and feel my legs look like carrots in skinny jeans but I feel mumsy in bootlegs

Thanks hopefully someone will be along with some suggestions for us!

Oooh I will look at levis thanks.

I have a massive bum compared to everything else. I look most balanced in wide legs but I'm not sure if I then just look frumpy and bigger than I actually am..

Artigiano - online. The hip / waist ratio is generous and suits the pear shape,
Bit of Lycra gives them slightly stretchy give.

levis intimodate me, I have always fancied getting a pair but the people in the shop look like they laugh at me and give me shit jeans for fun.

Try New look for cheap cheerful styles: they have a new "high-end" jean (for them:it's still only £25-£30 a pair) called "The Shaper" which comes in Classic, Skinny and bootcut. They go up to size 18 and have three leg lengths.

If you fancy classier makes then I'd suggest TK Maxx as they have some good brands on quite reasonable discounts: again £20-40 per pair but hard to predict what they will have in. Worth a try though!

I've given up wearing jeans as none of the fitted me properly because of belly overhang [or underhang].I am currently exercising a lot and have gone down to size 14 but still have the belly.Consequently the only jeans that fit well are the M&S pull-on jeggings.THey actually stay up and the jeggings are super flattering on.So if anyone can recommend any super stretchy flattering jeans [as even my NYDJ don't fit me now] please do.Any really nice mid priced brands?.

I'm the exact same size and my friend recommended next straight leg jeans £26 so I'm thinking of getting some of those. They have really good reviews and they are a good price.

Dorothy perkins jeggings and great. I have four or five pairs in different colours. Only ok under long tops but far less overhang that my other jeans. However, I am more of an apple shape (or barrel maybe) than a pear....

Gap did a curvy fit skinny jean last year, high waist, maybe they're doing it again? otherwise rate the M&S 'jegging' jeans. also nice high waist and cut a little curvier.

I can't wear skinny jeans and have a big bum and hips and smallish waist so jeans are tricky.

I've tried on alot of the ones suggested but struck gold with [[ http://www.next.co.uk/g482090s3#144412g48 these]] Next jeans. i got the bootcut style ones. in mu opinion they are the best jeans i have ever owned. They even fit into the small of my back. i even fit in the size 14.

Agree with Aethelflada TKMaxx is good option.

Got fab pair of MAC Jeans there this year, they are smart/trouser style but soooo flattering, would advise to find any good quality jeans in your size there & just try on, you might be surprised at what suits.

Tried Levi Curve range but not impressed, not very 'bum flattering' grin IMO.

I am 14-16 (more 16 lately but starting to go down again) but quite evenly proportioned (just a bit too wide all over!)

Dorothy Perkins sometimes good too, although not their cheap ones.

I just bought Levi Curve jeans in TKMaxx, less than a quarter of full price and I am very happy with them. Am same size as you. A friend also really rates the Next high waist jeans that a £45, can't remember exact name.

I am a similar size and age to you and have found my perfect jeans in Boden's straight cut style. Great for moving on from skinnies but without committing to a much wider leg... good luck in your search, do let us know what you land on.
