I'm always a bit overwhelmed when i go in store.

I religiously use American Cream conditioner, and i really like Whoosh shower Jelly

What else is worth trying?

Angels on bare skin face wash has completely changed my skin. Smaller pores and generally less red/ better condition.

Massage bars are good and smell nice without being too strong.

Also their facial scrubs are good but I don't use them regularly. Ditto face masks.

tell me about massage bars... they smell fab but never sure what to do with them!

Butterball bath ballistic.

supadupapupascupa Tue 25-Feb-14 20:48:17

oh i adore the soap but my skin is intolerant of it sad

kittygirl33 Tue 25-Feb-14 20:48:46

I second the angels on bare skin. I'm also using the British nanny moisturiser for my horribly dry pregnancy skin and it's fab. I use their ultra bland cleanser and it's very good, though I'm not so keen on its smell. I switched to it after trying the lid earle stuff which just broke my skin out.

Caredwyns Cauldren
Floating island
Dream bar
Sugar scrubs
Olive Branch
Flying Fox

I just wish they'd leave me alone when I go in. Even when I'm in and I've got my Lush tote they are on me like a rash. I want to browse at my own pace not be hammered to buy more.

But I'm NOT paying daft cash for their face products. I want ones that work and Full of Grace does not work on my sensitive skin so don't keep telling me it does!

ladymalfoy Tue 25-Feb-14 21:07:54

Supa. Warm them in your hands then rub them on.

KenDoddsDadsDog Tue 25-Feb-14 21:09:04

Snow cake soap
Dream melt bar
Ickle baby bath

PrincessScrumpy Tue 25-Feb-14 21:11:53

Celestial face cream is amazing and my skin has never looked healthier. I tried boots no 7 as I don't have a lush nearby and dh doesn't work in the city anymore but it just wasn't the same. More city shopping trips for me smile

I'm addicted to the 'Dear john' solid perfume. I catch myself sniffing my own wrists because I love the scent so much.

I love the 'you snap the whip' body butter too.

All of the massage bars are ace.

flying fox shower gel. gets rid of my excema like nothing else does

Rock star soap

KatoPotato Tue 25-Feb-14 21:17:58

Snow angel shower gel. I get excited near Christmas!

supadupapupascupa Tue 25-Feb-14 21:31:57

i did try the soap bars for your hair, bought little tins to go with them too. Can't say i'd recommend...... left my hair all squeaky and frizzy.

evelynj Tue 25-Feb-14 21:40:09

How on earth do you use the whoosh shower jelly stuff? It's ridiculous-I got it in a hamper from dh & if. Lift it out & try to rub it round me it just falls off & is a faff to get done the plug hole!

I like their moisturisers & ultrabalm is like swarfega for the face. Love the massage bars-dh uses them for my foot rubs sometimes smile

VivaLeBeaver Tue 25-Feb-14 21:41:29

The blueberry face mask.

supadupapupascupa Tue 25-Feb-14 21:43:34

evelynj you need a shower scrunchie. Break off a piece of jelly (1inch square?) drop into centre of the scrunchie, run under the shower and squeeze in your hand. Start scrubbing your skin and it all foams up brilliantly!

I won't give business to a company that donates money to unregulated vigilante groups who use violent means when they deem it necessary to get their point across.

Which is a shame, because I used to like their solid shampoo bars (I fly a lot and try to minimise the amount of liquid products I use in order to get through security more easily.)

Needadvice5 Tue 25-Feb-14 21:46:03

What arethe massage bars??

Angels on Bare skin for me too, also Buche de Noel (seasonal version)
Henna blocks
Ultrabland cleanser - about the only thing I can use on my sensitive eyelids
Eau Roma toner - again fab for sensitive skin
Blue Skies and Fluffy white clouds bubble bar
Jasmine and Henna Fluff-eaze hair mask, makes my hair super silky.

VivaLeBeaver Tue 25-Feb-14 21:50:03

What vigilante groups do they support?

I don't like Lush - I love the smell of the shop and I'm drawn in a Moth to Flame type daze.

I tried the solid shampoo and (IIRC a beer/ale shampoo but not for me)

My DC though love the bath bombs.
DD loves the soaps
And a Mango Melt

FungusTheBogeyman Tue 25-Feb-14 21:51:53

The Olive Branch shower gel smells incredible and leaves your skin so soft.

Coal Face facial soap has completely cleared my face, I wish I'd found it when I was 15. It's amazing. Teamed with Imperialis moisturiser.

VivaLeBeaver Tue 25-Feb-14 21:56:54

Oh I've found the vigilante group, Sea Shepherd I'm guessing is the one?

Meglet Tue 25-Feb-14 22:00:34

Shangri-la moisturiser.
Helping hands.
Coalface.
Olive branch.

viva They support hunt saboteurs. TBH the shop staff have to put up with whatever hairbrained idea HQ come up with, I worked there for years. When they supported the hunt sabs we got so sick of it I said I'd kill a bloody fox if one came in the shop, I wasn't the only one who was fed up taking the flack for HQ (I was a veggie lentil weaver at the time).

backinthebox Tue 25-Feb-14 22:27:43

Lush have indirectly funded Hamas, 'eco-pirates' who endorse deliberate sinking of ships, Hunt Saboteurs Association who are so convinced they are in the right they wear balaclavas to carry out their 'activities,' Plane Stupid (stupid is as stupid does - what kind of person sits on a runway? Especially when funded by an international jet-setter) and is just generally hypocritical in so many ways. These are the main groups they've funded recently who advocate guerilla tactics as part of their normal methods of protest, although this year's donations to anti-fracking groups could fund a considerable amount of direct action yet.

Of the groups linked to above, I happen to agree with some of their sentiments, to disagree with others, and have not enough knowledge on others to make a decision. What I object to is me buying a bar of shampoo and implicitly supporting what are often violent, illegal and unnecessary means to get a point across, whether I agree or disagree with it. But hey, if you don't mind where your money goes, keep shopping at LUSH!

foolssilver Wed 26-Feb-14 00:35:53

Lush threads always end up in a discussion about their policies. I'm part of one of those groups and so much that is written about us is negative spin or just plain untrue.

Anyway in terms of lush products I love ultrabland too and snow fairy at Christmas.
