here

i really wanted it, but they didnt have my size and its ridiculously expensive.
Please put me off it because i bought something cheaper but im still dreaming of the fox grin

Erm...it's silly; it's expensive; the fabric looks crap for the price. It is not v nice.

Sorry, but it isn't.

LeMousquetaireAnonyme Sat 09-Nov-13 20:51:04

Ok! It is hideous and ridiculous. For a joke at 5 £ or less go for it....
Are y ou put off enough?

Mosschops30 Sat 09-Nov-13 20:51:45

I bought this instead which i got 15% off too.

Casmama Sat 09-Nov-13 20:52:15

I thought this maybe difficult but actually I think you should thank your lucky stars. I fear people may ave openly laughed in your face if they saw you wearing that- its ridiculous!

Mosschops30 Sat 09-Nov-13 20:52:33

I need you to be honest
If you think its nice say so, if not definately say so smile

Casmama Sat 09-Nov-13 20:53:20

Much better choice.

VerySmallSqueak Sat 09-Nov-13 20:53:59

It's horrible.

It would make me form an instant bad impression of anyone wearing it,because of the foxhunting association.

Not nice in any way.

Sorry,but you did ask.

RobinSparkles Sat 09-Nov-13 20:54:45

The one that you have bought is a LOT nicer! The fox one isn't very nice....at all really. The one you have got is lovely.

smile

Raddy Sat 09-Nov-13 20:55:19

It has a fox on it. Unless you're a child, it's going to look very silly.

CharlotteBronteSaurus Sat 09-Nov-13 20:56:00

i like it
<two fingers to everyone else>
but IMO it's a less good version of last season's, which I am wearing right now, and which was £30 in the sale

if you're going to get it, wait for the sale, they had loads of sizes last year.

LegoCaltrops Sat 09-Nov-13 20:56:51

OP, I've no idea what age you are. No idea what you look like. I'd be prepared to bet actual money you would look far better in the top you actually bought.

thenightsky Sat 09-Nov-13 20:57:34

Fox one is shite and a bit of a joke.

Oh dear. Now I'm REALLY sorry, because I don't like the second one either. Ignore me though.

Bunbaker Sat 09-Nov-13 20:59:28

I like the second one. The first one is something 13 year old DD and her friends would wear. And nearly £70 for a jumper that you will wear just a few times is ridiculous. Because it will look so "last year" next year.

You'll wear it a few times for a week or so and your mates will hmm at you behind your back. After that it will take up space in your drawer and you'll blush every time you see it but won't be able to get rid of it for ages because it was expensive.

Oh just seen the one you bought in the end. I like that smile

VerySmallSqueak Sat 09-Nov-13 21:02:21

I'm afraid I don't like the second one either.

But still a vast improvement on the first one.

darksparrow Sat 09-Nov-13 21:03:16

It really is rather twee (aka hideous do not buy it!) - but not in a good way - and I say that from a Joules tweed coat and Dubarry school run area so I am normally pretty imune to all that stuff!

VerySmallSqueak Sat 09-Nov-13 21:03:38

I like yours the best Charlotte.

Philoslothy Sat 09-Nov-13 21:05:21

I have last season's version of that, I quite like mine.

TripTuckerIsMineYouVulcanBitch Sat 09-Nov-13 21:05:40

The fox jumper was fugly. The jumper you bought is lovely.

darksparrow Sat 09-Nov-13 21:07:44

Yes, and sorry don't like other one either - don't like the jersey. Style looks like it should be wool, so a bit wrong imo

Belindaearl2 Sat 09-Nov-13 21:08:17

Matalan might have another or Sainsbos. Ffs

marriedinwhiteisback Sat 09-Nov-13 21:10:43

Um, I like it actually. I think it's quite witty and reminds me of Brer Fox in the Uncle Remus Stories. I think it would go well with jeans, boots and a nice jacket.

GobblersAnyKnobFucker Sat 09-Nov-13 21:13:06

The fox one I almost like, but it is a bit try hard, they have missed the mark somewhat. Also it is wool and angora and will probably itch like fuckery.

peacefuleasyfeeling Sat 09-Nov-13 21:13:13

I think the fox is funny, I'd feel kind of edgy and jaunty if I wore it. But hey, it BOBBLES! You've had a lucky escape.

Philoslothy Sat 09-Nov-13 21:16:07

Mine isn't itchy but it is so warm, I can only really wear it if I am out of the house.

Mine hasn't bobbled.

Mosschops30 Sat 09-Nov-13 21:17:53

gringrin Some funny posts here

Feel a bit better now and almost glad I didn't get it.
I also prefer charlottes last season one.
The one I bought looks nice with white shirt underneath and some skinny jeans smile

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge Sat 09-Nov-13 21:19:00

Eww! Animal jumpers =big No no!Unless it's a Christmas jumper with a reindeer,and that's just for fun!

Second one looks fuddy duddy to me

Sorry

ouryve Sat 09-Nov-13 21:22:05

At that price, I'd expect it to me made out of something a bit nicer than the cheap, mostly synthetic and viscose blend, with just enough angora to shed and tickle, that you can get on the cone from colourmart. It'll probably crease and not hang well over any other clothes, but not be particularly warm, either.

And unless you're under 12, intarsia sweaters are not a good look.

MooseBeTimeForSnow Sat 09-Nov-13 21:30:33

That first one has Val Doonican written all over it

feelingvunerable Sun 10-Nov-13 06:55:40

OMG to that first jumper is all I can say!

charitygirl Sun 10-Nov-13 09:43:15

They have such a cheek charging £70 for a jumper with 30% polyester. OP you deserve better!

I WILL buy polyblend knitwear but won't pay more than £30. Arbitrary but fair I feel.

ThePorpoiseOfStupidity Sun 10-Nov-13 09:53:15

It's pretty terrible sorry op. Why is only one of the cuffs red too? I would not be spending that much on a jumper, let alone one with a coat wearing, stick wielding fox on it.

SavoyCabbage Sun 10-Nov-13 10:07:50

Unless you are working part time as a Gyles Brandreth lookie-likey, you have made the right decision.

Mosschops30 Sun 10-Nov-13 11:53:17

gringringringringringrin Feel so much better

lifesgreatquestions Sun 10-Nov-13 12:02:01

I prefer your first choice... and I hate clicking on S&B threads because they always make me want to buy crap I don't need... Off to look at the stupid fox sweater again... grumble.

Housesellerihope Sun 10-Nov-13 12:24:09

The thing that amazes me about the first jumper is that it has 4.5/5 stars from 69 reviewers. I always used to take comforting the fact that although I am slightly deficient in taste I try to buy clothes with good reviews so I couldn't be going too far wrong. But that jumper.... is just wrong!! Quite like the second one.

ThePorpoiseOfStupidity Sun 10-Nov-13 12:26:05

<adjusts tannoy>

lifesgreatquestions, please step away from the fox jumper. Immediately.

grin

lifesgreatquestions Sun 10-Nov-13 12:26:42

(but the second one is dull!)

I've been thinking about this again (sad, me?). The fox one is daft, but overall, I've decided I'd rather wear a daft one than the second one. Really though, if I was spending £50 or more, I'd want a proper merino or lambswool jumper, in a neutral colour.

CharlotteBronteSaurus Sun 10-Nov-13 14:22:29

actually, although it's synthetic, last season's joules one has a really nice feel, far comfier than my uniqlo 100% merino ones, which do itch a bit.

seventy quid is still taking the piss though.

RiffyWammal Sun 10-Nov-13 22:05:50

Oh my goodness. The fox jumper - I love it. What is wrong with you people??? But then I am rocking these beauties lately smile

And only ten quid from Asda!

trixymalixy Sun 10-Nov-13 23:14:46

I like fox jumpers. I have this henry holland one from 2 years ago. Don't like the one you did buy, sorry.

Thanks a bunch people - I'm not stuck with a

"What does the fox say?
Ring-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding!
Gering-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding!
Gering-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding!
What the fox say?"

earworm.

southeastastra Sun 10-Nov-13 23:22:00

i really like it

Preciousbane Sun 10-Nov-13 23:26:30

I saw the raccoon one in ASDA yesterday, at least it was cheap.

FriendlyElephant Sun 10-Nov-13 23:27:24

I really like that sainsbury's one blush

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge Mon 11-Nov-13 09:49:07

Do all you Fox lovers get secretly laughed at? grin

lollylaughs Mon 11-Nov-13 13:03:57

The first thing that came into my mind when I saw that jumper is that annoying song "What did the fox say........."

Mosschops30 Mon 11-Nov-13 22:52:30

Dd loves that 'what does the fox say' song grin
I have fox gloves ❤️❤️ and love them

Am currently wearing new non fox jumper and it looks very nice smile

Deathwatchbeetle Tue 12-Nov-13 07:08:55

I don't really like either - for some reason the material looks ugh on both andon the 2nd one I hate pockets on jumpers. But my taste is questionable anyway!

daftbesom Tue 12-Nov-13 12:39:53

Looks like something a try-hard squire-botherer would wear. Who was old before their time. Prob with a inverted-pleat tweed skirt and loafers.

jenniferjain Wed 08-Jan-14 11:45:11

I have been using Fox accessories and just love latest Fashion trends to keep up with style smile
