I have to share this amazing foundation/BB cream

Mosschops30 Sun 25-Aug-13 23:27:22

It's actually BB cream but as I'm old fashioned and don't really know what that is I'm just calling it foundation.

Found it by accident mooching round boots.

It's the botanics radiant youth BB cream. God it's truly amazing, makes my skin look dewy and youthful, I'm pale but think the medium looks better. I'm amazed that at 10pm at night it looks as great as at 10am in themorning.

After years of buying YSL and more recently that Estée Lauder shite that makes me look like a corpse I am over the moon to find one like this an £8 for 50ml gringrin

valiumredhead Sun 25-Aug-13 23:45:24

So it's not orange? Every one I've tried so far has been!

MissBartlett Sun 25-Aug-13 23:47:03

Knew it was going to be this one! Am using it and loving it too. Interesting you're using the medium. Just started with pale and wondered if I needed a bit more warmth...will test next time I'm in boots!

Mosschops30 Mon 26-Aug-13 00:08:38

No orangeness at all no, it's just perfect.

I tried the pale (and I am proper pale blonde hair blue eyes) but the medium looked better on my face I thought and not too dark either

XBenedict Mon 26-Aug-13 00:10:30

I have been searching for a decent BB cream and so far have been unsuccessful - off to Boots I go!! Thanks for this OP.

Theimpossiblegirl Mon 26-Aug-13 00:26:19

I was pleasantly surprised by the Rimmel BB cream I bought (skint but had run out and it was £5). It's also factor 25- does this one have sun protection?

Gunznroses Mon 26-Aug-13 08:38:24

What does BB stand for and is for sll skin types do you know? Been looking for something like this.

recall Mon 26-Aug-13 08:40:09

what is BB cream ?

mrscog Mon 26-Aug-13 08:52:46

I find the Maybelline one good and not too orange but that's £8 for 30ml so might try the botanics one next time!

Fairyliz Mon 26-Aug-13 09:12:05

Mosschops
Could I ask you what sort of skin you have dry/ oily etc. Also as it is the radiant youth are you a more ahem mature lady if you don't mind me asking!

SpringyReframed Mon 26-Aug-13 09:12:15

I've started using it too OP - just like you I found it mooching round Boots. I really think it has improved my skin. grin I bumped into the lady who does my facials (when I can afford one!) and she said I was looking great so it's not just me.

I got medium too as most are too dark/orange on my olive type skin and it is a bit pale on me. I counteract this with a bit of mineral powder on top but when it runs out I will definitely check out the darker one. It is definitely not orange!! grin

Mosschops30 Mon 26-Aug-13 09:13:34

Just checked yes it has SPF30

liquidstate Mon 26-Aug-13 09:19:18

I use the garnier anti aging one but its a bit greasy. Looks good though.

BB creams are brilliant for me as I never have time to moisturize and put make up on properly.

Mosschops30 Mon 26-Aug-13 09:20:07

fairy when I saw it I was a bit hmm about the youth thing, snotty boots lady when asked said 'its to combat the signs of ageing before they happen then gave me a look that suggested I was not in that bracket'

So I originally didn't buy it, but then I though 'sod you love' and got it, glad I did.
Am 38 so not fulfilling the radiant or youth target gringrin

XBenedict Mon 26-Aug-13 17:49:56

I've heard the L'Oreal one is also good but I've not tried that yet either. Might start with Botanics though as it's cheaper and we're skint

AngieM2 Mon 26-Aug-13 21:08:38

What does BB stand for?

DIddled Mon 26-Aug-13 21:10:20

LOreal BB and CC cream are both excellent.

KenDoddsDadsDog Mon 26-Aug-13 21:11:32

I have the Kiehls one but it's £££. Will give this a shot next.

Rootvegetables Mon 26-Aug-13 21:13:43

I got the no 7 cc cream from boots for my wedding makeup as I never wear any and it was amazing!

ggirl Mon 26-Aug-13 21:16:29

I think BB stands for beauty balm , no idea how it differs from a tinted moisturiser.
I've tried the no7 one and it gave me spots , but I'm ancient with oily skin.

ggirl Mon 26-Aug-13 21:17:16

Is there a DD cream yet grin

slightlysoupstained Mon 26-Aug-13 21:17:29

BB is blemish balm isn't it?

BOF Mon 26-Aug-13 21:17:58

I really like the Maybelline one. Not at all orange.

vix206 Mon 26-Aug-13 21:18:59

It stands for beauty balm

Fancies40Winks Mon 26-Aug-13 21:19:52

I was recommended the No7 bb cream here and I love love love it. I'm pale, it's not orange, it's subtle but covers well enough to tone down my post-gym redness. And it lasts very well.

bunnymother Mon 26-Aug-13 21:22:46

Should we be using BB or CC? I am a bit lazy and confused. Like, I want to do research on what I should buy, and need to, but can't be bothered.

Rexy Mon 26-Aug-13 22:01:56

I'm just trying out Smashbox which has a SPF of 35 for my combination skin.

PoppyWearer Mon 26-Aug-13 22:06:14

I'm currently using the Kiehl's one and it's fab, but yes, I need something cheaper!

Fancies40Winks Mon 26-Aug-13 22:07:41

Good article about bb, cc, and yes dd creams from Metro.

Theimpossiblegirl Tue 27-Aug-13 00:16:21

DD cream? Might rub it on my boobs.
wink

mirai Tue 27-Aug-13 00:24:02

What's the difference between a BB cream and a regular tinted moisturiser?

Onesleeptillwembley Tue 27-Aug-13 00:39:08

The boots ones are all orange and claggy. Only someone with a vested interest would praise them.

SundaySimmons Tue 27-Aug-13 01:32:08

Do you know if any of them give a matte finish? I've decided dewy=shiny and doesn't suit me.

Damnautocorrect Tue 27-Aug-13 09:11:26

I'm a big fan of sanctuary bb cream, not orange either

DfanjoUnchained Tue 27-Aug-13 09:17:50

The garnier oil free for combination skin is great, doesn't clog up my pores and doesn't look too matte.

onlysettleforbutterflies Tue 27-Aug-13 13:37:13

Just bought it on your recommendation - thanks

Mosschops30 Tue 27-Aug-13 21:08:33

smile Hope you like it

OPeaches Tue 27-Aug-13 21:25:25

I'm confused. Or possibly stupid. Do you use moisturiser + bb cream + foundation?

BB cream is moisturiser & light foundation all in one, so you shouldn't need to use moisturiser and foundation as well.

bunnymother Tue 27-Aug-13 22:29:10

And CC takes it that bit further? I realised today that I am now too old and sun damaged to go out bare faced every day and need just a bit of coverage. While I use my hard core glycolic acid stuff nightly this winter to try and restore my face a bit. Its only getting grimmer and grimmer.

mirai Wed 28-Aug-13 06:33:42

So a BB cream is just a tinted moisturiser then? Hmm, I prefer a little more coverage.

Mosschops30 Wed 28-Aug-13 12:40:29

It says you can use moisturiser or use it alone.
I use both.
It also means you don't need primer

LifeofPo Wed 28-Aug-13 12:43:15

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

Ubud Wed 28-Aug-13 12:57:21

I am feeling very left out as I do not have a BB or a CC cream. I do however have 1 half used Bobby Brown tinted moisturiser and a Bobby Brown foundation that I need to use up before I can justify buying any more stuff.

Feeling neglected and behind the times sad

MovingForward0719 Thu 29-Aug-13 01:25:41

It's 5.99 in Boots today. Thanks for sharing, it's really nice

valiumredhead Thu 29-Aug-13 09:01:07

I'm going to get some today will report back later!

Tigerstripes Thu 29-Aug-13 11:22:19

I find BB cream has more coverage than tinted moisturiser but is much less heavy than foundation. I use garnier but may try botanics next.

valiumredhead Thu 29-Aug-13 11:53:33

I've got some! I liked it so far, just tried some on in the cargrin good coverage and good colour. Jury is out as to whether dewy looks ok on me....

I use the Garnier BB cream & love it (the one in the tube - the red jar is SHITE though, slides on and slides off in the same moment!). It has really good coverage which I've found is a problem with some of the rest (can't remember which other ones I've tried but there were one or two)

Have just bought the Botanics one, will report back....

daimbardiva Thu 29-Aug-13 12:28:00

I really like the No 7 bb cream. Pretty much exactly between a tinted moisturiser and a foundation which is just right for me.

valiumredhead Thu 29-Aug-13 17:25:28

Oooo I liked it, not too dewy and covers well and colour is amazing. Still needed a bit of concealer but I really like it. Thankssmile

evertonmint Thu 29-Aug-13 22:01:04

Bought it today after reading this thread, and tried it this afternoon. DH just informed me I'm looking lovely and when I asked why he said "your skin looks really good today". He's not known for chucking around compliments, so the Botanics BB cream must be really good! grin

JustBecauseICan Thu 29-Aug-13 22:17:23

Oooh, I've been testing bb/cc creams all week (I get into town an hour before I need to be in work and Boots is open!) I was almost decided on the new Olay CC because you can see swirly cream in the bottle and it looks cute but I'm going to try this one now.

Mosschops- IIRC you are the MNer who recommended me the Neal's Yard rose facial oil so you are already one of my beauty gurus! grin

Mosschops30 Fri 30-Aug-13 08:46:44

grin Yes I remember that, I still love that oil.
I'm glad so many people like the BB it's always a bit dodgy recommending stuff

I can't find this on Boots website?? I want to buy this and the cleanser someone on here recommended ( I'm such a sheep!!) planning to detour via Boots on our way out to meet friends smile

TheFantasticFixit Fri 30-Aug-13 10:06:42

I had been on the hunt for a decent, colour matching (am pale) bb cream for ages when I finally found Erborian - it's really fantastic, can be used as a primer as well, and lasts an age if you apply with a foundation brush. Bit pricey but my tube has now lasted near.y 4 months!

valiumredhead Fri 30-Aug-13 14:27:13

I used the botanics BB cream today, still on after a fractious shopping trip this morning-was a bit hot and sweaty and I still look fresh as a daisy! Very impressed with its staying power.

valiumredhead Fri 30-Aug-13 14:27:38

Going to try the cleansing balm as well.

Mosschops30 Fri 30-Aug-13 14:39:25

I noticed that Valium, when I take it off at night with cleansing cloth there's still lots on my face smile

valiumredhead Fri 30-Aug-13 14:50:51

I can't tell you how impressed I am! I have high colour and it evens everything out nicely and great colour.

mirai Fri 30-Aug-13 15:21:54

Why isn't it on the website?!?

flipchart Fri 30-Aug-13 15:25:55

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BB_cream

Hope this link works - says what BB cream is

goodasitgets Fri 30-Aug-13 15:48:33

The cleansing balm and moisturisers are cheap and fab
Will the bb cream work on v v pale skin?

Neiffer Fri 30-Aug-13 16:17:03

I need new bb cream so was going to get this one, but I can't find it on website either sad no boots anywhere near us, anyone found it online?

frankietwospots Fri 30-Aug-13 20:11:39

Bought some today. High hopes for tomorrow morning!

I bought this today on the strength of this thread! Haven't had chance to inspect myself since putting it on so we'll see tomorrow. Have been using Estée Lauder double wear light but it seems to be drying my pregnant skin out.

JustBecauseICan Fri 30-Aug-13 21:47:15

I have been and bought it as well! Not tried it yet, but will tomorrow.

Wonder if this thread will be like Delia's cranberries and Boots all over the country will run out!

Mosschops30 Fri 30-Aug-13 23:05:09

Oh god I hope not I'd better stock up grin

Yes that's what I was using Estée Lauder double wear light, hmm biggest waste of money ever, made me look like death warmed up and by the time I got to work it was gone and I looked like shit all day grin

evertonmint Sat 31-Aug-13 12:03:30

A few days in and I definitely love it! I put a little moisturiser on my v dry cheeks beforehand but otherwise this is enough on its own for my t-zone. Skin looks and feels smooth and, yes, radiant smile. I'm going to buy a few more at the cheaper price as it's definitely going to be a daily staple!

JustBecauseICan Sat 31-Aug-13 14:11:14

Oh wow!!! I am a goddess!!!

I put this on over the Garnier Blur primer, and a bit of Rimmel Wake Me Up highlighter (from pound shop!!!) and I feel fab.

I put a couple of layers on (am ancient and need the extra help grin) and am v pleased indeed.

flowers to Mosschops Beauty Guru extraordinaire!

Mosschops30 Sat 31-Aug-13 15:15:13

Got a bit carried away today and bought the day cream, serum and more BB cream in case you all buy it gringrin

Totally suckered in buy one produce, hope the rest of it is as good! The day cream smells gorgeous on my skin

valiumredhead Sat 31-Aug-13 15:19:22

Yeah I still love the stuff!

valiumredhead Sat 31-Aug-13 15:21:03

I apply it with the real techniques stippling brush-goes on really well!

Mosschops30 Sat 31-Aug-13 20:12:04

Did everyone get it cheaper than £8.99
Just looked at my receipt and the serum and day cream were cheaper but I still paid £8.99 for the BB cream

Some if the skin are us a third off but not the bb cream? I have been impressed with it today, I lost the sight in one eye last year and typical my other eye is very very shortsighted so I can no longer see enough to wear makeup hmm I do wear lip gloss so thus made me feel more like 'me' and more polished even if to everyone else I look like someone who can't see how terribly applied my make up is gringrin

dementedma Sat 31-Aug-13 20:40:09

I have the L,oreal one and its fab

valiumredhead Sat 31-Aug-13 20:43:50

I got it for 5.99 but I made a fuss at the till.

valiumredhead Sat 31-Aug-13 20:44:37

The Loreal one made me look like an oompa loompagrin

dementedma Sat 31-Aug-13 20:52:23

I lied. Its the garnier one

JustBecauseICan Sat 31-Aug-13 21:44:49

The L'Oreal one tango'd me.

I paid £8.99 for mine. I did wonder about the 1/3 off but figured BB counts as makeup not skincare.

flipchart Sat 31-Aug-13 21:48:27

I tried some on this morning and then went back this afternoon and got some because it still looked good on
I paid £5.99

I was initially charged £8.99. I went back to the shelf and saw that it had a label for £5.99 so went back to the counter. She gave me a refund of £3.00

I have worn it this evening and it looks good.

Crumbelina Sat 31-Aug-13 22:07:42

I think it varies by store. I saw it for £8.99 in Boots Waterloo Station today but then picked some up in the Tottenham Court Road branch for £5.99. That said, the former shop doesn't tend to do many promotions. Can't wait to try it tomorrow!

Mosschops30 Sun 01-Sep-13 19:23:20

Skanky buggers!!!! It is included and should be £5.99
£3 refund for me grin

valiumredhead Mon 02-Sep-13 11:59:38

So this morning I applied it with a sponge instead of a stippling brush, much nicer, even finish. I still love the stuffgrin

Charged )8.99 too went back ticket deffo said save so part refund here too

Mosschops30 Mon 02-Sep-13 14:27:34

Ooh you are posh valium I just slap it on with my fingers grin

valiumredhead Mon 02-Sep-13 14:49:53

Fingers are good but sponge is bettergrin

JustBecauseICan Mon 02-Sep-13 15:07:59

Grrrr. Have chucked my receipt away. <cheapskate>

CultureMix Mon 02-Sep-13 23:00:03

Bought one today on the strength of this thread, hoping it works wonders!

Charged £8.99 as well - the girl at the till corrected it after I pointed out it was on sale.

ggirl Tue 03-Sep-13 17:35:32

I bought this and used today for first time ...really impressed so far..I am drop dead gorgeous!

Oh dear (said I'd report back)

The Botanics one settled in my pores after a few hours, and my face went very shiny. I could actually see little dots of BB cream on my cheeks.

Went straight back to the Garnier one - it lasts me over 12 hours with just a bit of blotting on my nose.

I may try the Botanics one again with a bit of primer under it, as I do like the colour, not a trace of Oompa Loompa.

DD has a good primer she keeps recommending to me so I might "borrow" it (Benefit I think)

valiumredhead Tue 03-Sep-13 18:43:19

Every foundation on the market does that to me-settles in my pores-except the botanics one!

valiumredhead Tue 03-Sep-13 18:44:50

If you want a good primer then lanacane anti chaff gel is exactly the same as the expensive smash box one! I kid you not.

JustBecauseICan Tue 03-Sep-13 19:24:52

I was on the meds counter the other day and spotted the Lanacane and couldn't remember what it was for! <adds to list> Isn't Preparation H pile cream good for eye wrinkles as well?

valiumredhead Tue 03-Sep-13 19:31:04

I think so but never tried itgrin

MrsCocoa Tue 03-Sep-13 19:37:57

I've bought it and impressed too - on the skin it feels and lasts more like a dewy light/medium foundation than a tinted moisturiser IFYKWIM?

I was overcharged too (and have subsequently got a refund for the difference)!

It seems like quite a big deal that we're all being overcharged, drawing it to the attention of Boots, but they keep on with the overcharging rather than updating the pricing on their system? At best that's poor form...at worst isn't it contravening trading standards?

Deathwatchbeetle Wed 04-Sep-13 14:21:54

Thanks for heads up Mosschops! Like you I got the Botanics one in Medium. It seems to soften my red bits and does make the skin look better (though may be the sunlight - my skin always looks better in summer!!). It goes on nicely, I love it!

rachyconks Wed 04-Sep-13 16:46:19

Thank you so much for recommending the boots radiant youth cream. It looks so good on my skin and smells amazing! Boots have it on offer for £5.99 (normally £8.99), so I took the leap today.

valiumredhead Wed 04-Sep-13 19:51:43

It's been hot here today, no sign of shininess at all it's a miraclegrin

ggirl Wed 04-Sep-13 19:56:46

I;m quite impressed so far although today I squeezed far too much out and had to wash off some. A little goes a long way.
I did get a spot on my nose so will be keeping an eye on that, it's stuff with spf that seems to cause spots with me.

lovelychops Thu 05-Sep-13 08:24:46

Bought some yesterday plus cleanser and face wash. It all smells gorgeous. Moss chops has definitely started a trend!

valiumredhead Thu 05-Sep-13 08:31:08

I'm off into town today so will buy the cleanser while I'm theregrin

VillaVillekulla Thu 05-Sep-13 08:39:03

I've been using this for a few weeks now and agree it's the best BB cream I've tried. I got some for my mum too. I'm using medium even though I'm quite pale and would usually go for fair shades.

I was using Dr Jart but I think I prefer this. Dr Jart is a bit ghostly white.

VillaVillekulla Thu 05-Sep-13 08:39:18

The cleansing balm and cloth is also brilliant.

ExcuseTypos Thu 05-Sep-13 08:40:41

I've not tried the BB cream but have just started using the Botanics cleansing balm and moisturiser, after being very loyal to Liz Earle for years.

I love the Botanics, does the same job as the LE, smells nicer, has a lot of organic ingredients in it and is about half the price. What's not to like?

JustBecauseICan Thu 05-Sep-13 11:04:20

Ooooh, I was going to ask how the rest of the range shapes up- I am another Liz Earle HC user, but might try the Botanics one now!

valiumredhead Thu 05-Sep-13 16:03:45

I bought the scrub, moisturiser and cleansing cream. Everything was on offer. Will report back later!

valiumredhead Thu 05-Sep-13 16:04:41

Is the balm in a jar/tub? I couldn't find that one.

ExcuseTypos Thu 05-Sep-13 16:22:38

Valium it's in a tub, which in the shop is inside a box.

It's called Botanics Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm. It's 97% organic and is on offer at the moment.

valiumredhead Thu 05-Sep-13 16:59:38

Ok, thank you, that definitely want in our small boots, will look for it in a bigger one. I got the cream cleanser which I'll take off with a muslin clothsmile

valiumredhead Thu 05-Sep-13 16:59:46

Wasn't

Mosschops30 Thu 05-Sep-13 21:02:53

Is the cleansing balm part of the radiant youth stuff or is it different?

How many botanics ranges are there? Will need to do more shopping grin

valiumredhead Thu 05-Sep-13 23:07:51

So the scrub was fantastic, my skin is soooooooo sensitive and it was fine.

I am wearing the moisturiser, it's good but I think I prefer the super drug Liz Earle rip off one.

ExcuseTypos Thu 05-Sep-13 23:29:35

Moss, no it isn't part of that radiant youth range. The packaging is very plain and it just says the name on it.

All the different ranges are confusing arent they?

If you just look for something that says 'organic' on it you should be able to find it.

Snoozy1 Fri 06-Sep-13 10:07:40

Can you buy this online? I can't seem to find it on the Boots website.

whats4teamum Fri 06-Sep-13 12:23:50

I bought some lidl bb cream yesterday and it is amazing. Only £1.99.

ExcuseTypos Fri 06-Sep-13 14:23:27

www.boots.com/en/Botanics/Botanics-Facial-skin-care/

This link should take you to the Boots Botanics range page.

There are actually 6 ranges. No wonder we're all confused.

The cleansing beauty balm is part of the Organic Range.

Mosschops30 Fri 06-Sep-13 14:43:21

Great will have a look when I go next, I only have the BB, day cream and serum grin need more gringrin

JustBecauseICan Fri 06-Sep-13 19:05:36

I got the balm today.

What is this superdrug rip off Liz Earle moisturiser of which you speak please? grin

JustBecauseICan Fri 06-Sep-13 19:06:52

(As I was paying for the balm I was giving the assistant a little sneaky grin and expecting her to say "mumsnet I presume?" and I was a tad disappointed when she didn't.....)

valiumredhead Fri 06-Sep-13 19:49:21

There's a thread in style and beauty, I'll see if I can find it...

valiumredhead Fri 06-Sep-13 19:53:59

The thread is called -hot cloth cleansers and toners. Sorry can't do a link from my phone. Fab, fab info about cleansers from super drug ! Happy readingsmile

JustBecauseICan Fri 06-Sep-13 19:55:06

Oh thankyou!

valiumredhead Fri 06-Sep-13 20:00:36

You'll never buy Liz Earle againwink

JustBecauseICan Fri 06-Sep-13 21:19:21

Just had a read, am off to superdrug tomorrow! It is next door to specsavers which is where dd has an appointment anyway. I love oils so will prob come back with the vit E one. (and the cream, am finishing a pot of super £££s Occitane Divine cream which was v nice, but not sure it was worth the £69 shock)

Mosschops30 Sat 07-Sep-13 08:10:56

I have the superdrug hot cloth cleanser, not used it yet though as finishing the end of Avon Liz Earle rubbish grin

JustBecauseICan Sat 07-Sep-13 14:49:26

I have bought the superdrug vit E night cream and facial oil now. grin

Mosschops30 Sat 07-Sep-13 17:58:55

Let us know what the vitamin e stuff is like. I bought the vitamin e scrub but haven't used that yet either

I went to boots today but there is far too much choice in the botanics range, I couldn't decide what I needed or wanted so will just use what I've got for now.

Does anyone use the botanics facial oil? Currently using neals yard but if this is as good I might change smile

SophiaMaddie Sat 07-Sep-13 20:14:43

It means Beauty Balm basically foundation, moisturizer in one. there is so many now, I found Nivea one too greasy for my mixed skin.

SprinkleLiberally Sun 08-Sep-13 09:54:20

Just bumping this to say thanks. I bought the Botanics bb cream after this thread and find it amazingly good. Have had compliments galore on my face!

Cat98 Sun 08-Sep-13 09:58:25

I bought this recently and the jury is still out - I am quite fair but have a tan from the summer and though I bought the medium im wondering if its a shade too light at the moment.
That said, I like the texture it gives my skin- maybe it will look better in the winter.

Do you all wear moisturiser or day cream underneath it, or just the bb cream as is?

SprinkleLiberally Sun 08-Sep-13 10:01:36

I wear on its own.

JustBecauseICan Sun 08-Sep-13 10:29:31

I have v dry skin so am wearing with the whole shebang. (moisturiser and primer)

For a truly flawless finish I can recommend a layer of BB then a few dobbles of Bourjois Health Mix over your imperfect bits. grin

Mosschops30 Sun 08-Sep-13 10:39:03

I still use oil and moisturiser but not primer

I bought this yesterday. I'm very pale but bought the medium, I'm still unsure whether it's still too light or not. I'll know tomorrow in work, people are always asking me if I'm tired if i wear a pale foundation bastards.

I didn't like it when i first put it on but after about 10 minutes it seemed to settle into my face confused and I really like it. I think I'm a bit allergic to it, it's given me very rosy cheeks.
It's a bit thicker than the Garniers BB cream. I like a good coverage, my skin's not great, and this is fine.

Thank you thank you! I absolutely love it. Will never spend tons again on skincare/makeup again - this on it's own is enough to make me look okish in the morn-with 7 week old Baby it's a miracle!

Off to trawl for other bargain threads. Please review the other botanics products anyone.....

valiumredhead Sun 08-Sep-13 19:55:05

Eve-look at that cleanser thread I mentioned earlier, many bargains on that!

lovelychops Sun 08-Sep-13 21:02:38

The botanicas organic cleanser is gorgeous, it smells like origins and is a fraction of the price.

LalaDipsey Sun 08-Sep-13 21:12:45

Bought it today - went for the light one as I am pale so hoping its ok and if not they will let me change it for the medium. Looking forward to trying it in the morning smile

Cat98 Sun 08-Sep-13 21:49:09

Thanks. I think it is a little too light for me at the moment sadly, but I'll be keeping it for when my tab has faded!
Has anyone tried the bourgeois bronzing bb cream? It looks good but as its a bit pricier I'm not sure.

Cat98 Sun 08-Sep-13 21:49:27

Tan not tab!

Mosschops30 Sun 08-Sep-13 22:53:37

Lovelychops which cleanser? I saw two on Saturday

LalaDipsey Mon 09-Sep-13 07:55:10

I'm not looking radiant...... Since I will only be getting paler do I keep it or change it??......

valiumredhead Mon 09-Sep-13 08:00:52

I got the brightening cleanser-too stingy for my sensitive skin! I'll stick to my super drug Liz Earle rip off.

VillaVillekulla Mon 09-Sep-13 09:46:54

I've got an unopened tube of the light one but I'm beginning to think it will always be too pale for me because the medium is really quite light on me (even though I think of myself as pale confused). Do you think Boots would exchange for a medium even without the receipt?

valiumredhead Mon 09-Sep-13 11:15:34

Boots are very good at exchanging ime.

peachypips Mon 09-Sep-13 13:27:30

I can't find this online sad

valiumredhead Mon 09-Sep-13 13:28:39

It doesn't seen to be on line, in stores only.

peachypips Mon 09-Sep-13 13:47:22

Cheers- off to beautify myself dreckly.

Just bought this on your recommendation. It's fab - thank you! Like a few others upthread, the medium is ever so slightly too pale atm as I have the remains of a tan, but the texture is fab. Much better than the Garnier which is a tad greasy for me.

Flossiechops Tue 10-Sep-13 09:16:22

Just been to Boots following this thread - it's down to £5.99 now on special offer grin

WiddleAndPuke Tue 10-Sep-13 09:22:41

Hmm I bought some and I'm not sure I like it. I'm very pale and bought the medium and its not too bad - a little too pale still but will probably be just right in a few weeks when I've got true "winter" skin colour back!

It's a bit thick and greasy feeling. I'll use it up though.

valiumredhead Tue 10-Sep-13 10:20:12

Did you give it a really good shake? My first squirt was very oily, then I read the instructionsblush

WiddleAndPuke Wed 11-Sep-13 00:31:05

Oh! I'll try that!

JustBecauseICan Wed 11-Sep-13 12:46:18

Yes, I noticed oozy slime came out for the first day or so. Doesn't now.
I spent 12 hrs travelling yesterday in car and plane to Italy. Usually when I cleanse my face at night after that, nothing comes off as the makeup has already melted off hours before. Yesterday there was still makeup coming off.

valiumredhead Thu 12-Sep-13 23:58:20

So mine suddenly made my face go all dry and sand paperysad I got the garnier one today as it was on offer and seemed more moisturising-lasted all even ing, good so far. I needed the light when though I had the medium in the botanics one.

peachypips Fri 13-Sep-13 12:53:27

I've just used it for the first time- nothing short of miraculous. It is very pale, but it has great coverage and is very 'dewy'. Looks nice with some blusher, mascara and a pink chubby stick. Luvverly.

I bought this and I love how well it lasts, and how it looks on, BUT it's giving me spots sad

valiumredhead Fri 20-Sep-13 07:21:46

I loved it but it made me dry and flaky so I can't use it every day.

ggirl Fri 20-Sep-13 20:58:01

loved it but gave me spots ...shame
I think the spf stuff gives me spots

happywithit Fri 20-Sep-13 21:12:37

peachypips Fri 20-Sep-13 21:41:31
