my beloved skinny jeans
many striped tops
skinny fit cashmere
pencil skirts
lots of bird print
cigarette pants
animal print heels
neon pink
ankle boots
a parka

Come share with me what you will be mostly wearing

Umlauf Tue 13-Aug-13 23:22:44

Strappy tops under voluminous shirts (breastfeeding)
Brown skinny jeans (have had my colours done :-)
Neon yellow and hot pink jumpers (bought before having colours done but I love them so what the hell)
Animal print Louis Vuitton giant scarf
Oxblood ankle boots

Or more probably, due to having a newborn, vomit stained t shirts of DHs and torn track suit bottoms!

Selks Tue 13-Aug-13 23:24:45

Feck all if I can't find anything I like in the shops. I'm a larger size and am struggling to find anything decent to wear amongst the sea of polyester tat that's out there. Grr.

scarlet76 Tue 13-Aug-13 23:25:12

Love the sound of oxblood ankle boots

Selks Tue 13-Aug-13 23:25:44

Sorry that wasn't an interesting post.

scarlett, burgundy, french navy, emerald, bird print (is it still OK?) . Gothic accessories. My beloved primary pack a parka. Naice material, faux fur, those heat tech thermal things you all go on about!

LauraPashley Tue 13-Aug-13 23:27:55

What are animal print heels?!! (Am on the hunt for new boots!)

Sells have a look on Tkmaxx I often just search "silk" or cashmere etc and see what comes up in my size. They had Cashmere dresses for £49 the other day .

santamarianovella Tue 13-Aug-13 23:35:34

My sweater dresses
Black leather skinny pants
Black poncho
Grey long cardigan
Biker boots
Tweed jackets
Charcoal sweater
Gucci burgundy scarf<my favourite>
I need to inject some color to my aw wardrobeblush

Love the sound of animal print heels.scarlet

Dark green waxed cotton coat (Tesco, and so perfect I want a spare);
Navy blue wool military coat (Zara, last year, my dream coat);
Black silk velvet blazer (ebay, some designer or over, great for dressing up or down);
Mottled grey viscose infinity scarf with crosses/black, green and white tie-dye viscose scarf (Primark, but look like All Saints);
Linen knit 3/4 sleeve layering tops in claret, pine green and black (Zara);
Loose knit slouchy jumpers in pale pink and silver grey (Wallis, last year, v comfy and bobble-proof);
Cotton layering vests in charcoal, silver grey, black, burgundy, and magenta (Primark);
Black/ivory striped viscose wiggle dress with rouched waist (Tesco, but looks like All Saints);
A-line black leather mini skirt (ebay, 10 years old and a winter staple);
Indigo skinny jeans (Gok @ Sainsbury's - only ones that don't gape at my waist, but seams aren't wonderful on mine);
Dr Marten's 8 hole leather boots in black patent or purple shimmer;
Black pearls and Trollbeads bracelet;
Grey, black, or claret opaque tights.

Basically, excluding the tights, exactly the same things I've been wearing for all but 1.5 months of the past year sad. They're all lovely clothes, but I wish the weather this summer had given me a decent excuse to buy some diaphanous, light-coloured stuff and give the heavy fabrics a break!

midwash skinnies
grey skinnies
black 7/8ths trousers
black maxi skirt
khaki printed maxi skirt
Whistles and Topshop tube skirts
black tops (nothing new there!)
a grey jumper of some sort, if I can find a nice one
a black jumper - ditto
Whistles and Warehouse fabric bikers
Leather biker
A couple of jumper dresses
Snakeprint and leopard print in various guises
Opaque tights
Heeled tan cowboy-esque boots / flat black buckled boots
Brown Chelsea-esque boots if I can get some nice ones
Lots of silver bangles and/or a selection of cuffs (nothing new there either)

I suspect I will be a combination of grunge, early 80s and 60s-ish overall!

Selks Wed 14-Aug-13 00:00:32

Thanks, smellylittleorange, will take a look.

scarlet76 Wed 14-Aug-13 06:39:06

selks agree that the shops are awash with polyester and it's increasingly harder to find cotton, silk and cashmere.
smellylittle I'm still running with the bird print. I really like quirky print but I'm not cutting edge of fashion!
Laura I meant high heel, pointy court type shoes in animal print! I also have my eye on some flat ankle boots in an animal print.
Remus am also looking for a mid grey fitted crew neck in either lambswool or cashmere

I hadn't thought about jewellery. Lots of skinny leather and silver friendship type bracelets on one arm. A decent watch that I hope DH is going to buy me as a graduation gift!!! I would also like a cuff of some sort.

gaggiagirl Wed 14-Aug-13 06:54:09

Skinny jeans in indigo or black

Cashmere v neck sweaters in black or navy

My ' Mary berry ' navy and white striped wool Chanel-esque cardi/jacket

Navy vests for layering

Jumper dresses

opaque tights

Ankle boots

Navy short uggs

Navy peacoat

Blah there me and my navy again! I've no clue if it even suits me.

Kahu Wed 14-Aug-13 07:01:10

Remus & scarlet - J Crew have their merino Tippi crew neck in grey (& a load of other colours that I forget) on sale right now. Not sure what your shipping & duties would be to the UK though... It's a really lovely style.

Justshabbynochic Wed 14-Aug-13 07:05:53

What is a good brand comfy boot to buy? Can't afford Uggs but need something comfy and semi-stylish to do lots of walking (school runs, errands, etc.)?? Any suggestions?

CareerGirl01 Wed 14-Aug-13 08:56:14

Hmmm I have a wish list - had DD2 14 weeks ago...
Dr Marten long patent boots -
These skinny jeans
Superdry padded black jacket from Next
And for my fitness regime - these trainers from Sweaty Betty
and tops
Total cost - £425 ish! But I am starting a new job next month (writing from home)

foxysocks Wed 14-Aug-13 09:36:36

oooo good thread! for me...

chunky knits
fine cashmere jumpers
skinny jeans in indigo, grey and black
biker boots / ankle boots dep on weather and outfit
knitted dresses
tweed wool shorts over opaques with one of aforementioned jumpers
brocade or tartan skirt, depending on what i fall in love with
silvery/gold toned miniskirts over tights with jumpers
big scarves - cobalt blue cashmere/silk, blush/ black star print, black mohair infinity scarf
coat will be either parka, leopard print, leather biker or down filled barbour

all I need is the tweed wool shorts, brocade/tartan skirt and black buckled biker boots. oh, and possibly a pepto pink cashmere jumper if one pops up at a good price.

Thank you, Kahu. Am a fussy sod though, so need to be in a real shop. I saw a lovely grey one in TK Maxx yesterday (from a brand called Crew Clothing, which I don't know) but it was handwash, and I am too lazy.

Foxy - I have a gorgeous, Russian-inspired, brocade skirt (quite full and just below knee length) but I'm never quite sure how to wear it. A mini one would be much easier to wear!

Kezztrel Wed 14-Aug-13 09:53:19

my snuggly burgundy wool Whistles jumper dress
opaque black tights
black leather biker jacket
grey wool 7/8th trousers
grey with black spots merino jumper
scarlet slouchy CdC dress with black tights
black suede ankle boots
cashmere round neck jumpers
indigo skinny jeans
big printed scarves

MarshaBrady Wed 14-Aug-13 09:54:37

I need to do quite a big shop and I just don't know yet.

Some form of new ankle boot, coat, jumper and skirt or skinnies.

MadBusLady Wed 14-Aug-13 09:59:23

Ahhh, season of tweeds and fake fur. YES to opaques and shorts/minis, yes to useful big scarves that can be worn round the neck or wrapped around you in chilly cafes, and yes to layers of brown, I am definitely feeling like brown is a good idea again. Has been impossible to buy for the last few years.

Also these boots with skinnies and some form of slightly Lovejoyesque leather jacket (or maybe just a short Barbour) accessorized with a van in which I drive around and deal antique furniture and solve mysteries.

It is possible that I overthink clothes.

Lottapianos Wed 14-Aug-13 10:00:36

'Dark green waxed cotton coat (Tesco, and so perfect I want a spare);'

Nom, is this the £35 one with the hood? I've got my eye on one of those!

Skinny jeans in burgundy, navy, grey and black
Fitted/pencil skirts in various patterns
Black mini skirt with leggings and boots
My usual top half of long-sleeve plain t-shirt + patterned short-sleeve t-shirt on top
Soft cardis from H&M in blue, green and brown
Republic hi-tops and DM black ankle boots
Warm cosy socks (yay)
Loads of big warm patterned scarves
Nails - navy, burgundy, plum, hot pink, dark green, maybe a bit of black crackle thrown in too
Lips - going to be brave and get stuck into some strong colours, usually go for a nude lip but tempted by a new look (eek)

Justshabbynochic Wed 14-Aug-13 10:02:47

I must be the only person in the world who feels like a cock in ankle/biker boots. confused

MarshaBrady Wed 14-Aug-13 10:06:12

What do you wear Justshabby?

I love the idea of some knee high boots (after going through a stage of not wanting to wear them at all), but in reality find them a bit annoying.

Lottapianos Wed 14-Aug-13 10:07:10

I used to feel that way Justshabbynochic but I wear them now with long socks inside which I roll down so the top of the boots don't flap about and I think they look wicked. If that makes sense!

MadBusLady Wed 14-Aug-13 10:11:25

Also, I am going to abandon cardigans. They don't do anything for me shapewise, they're hard to match with tops and they make me chilly. Fuck 'em. Jumpers or layered tops all the way.

primallass Wed 14-Aug-13 10:14:06

Skinny jeans
Jumper dresses
New khaki cosy coat
Bailey Uggs (shoot me now)

I am rather fond of ankle boots with scrunched up leg warmers inside - makes them much easier to wear with skinnies because it bulks my skinny ankles up a bit. But I wear the legwarmers low and scrunchy, so they just stick out of the top of the boots.

Has anybody seen any nice new jumper dresses? I am very fond of a jumper dress and have a couple pf lovely ones, but I fancy a grey one and also a navy blue and black one.

Justshabbynochic Wed 14-Aug-13 10:18:40

Ooh Lottapianos I might have to try that! My problem is I have big feet so I feel clunky in a lot of things. Rounded toes suit me best. I am secretly jealous of all who can pull off ankle bootage. I also think they shorten my legs. Longer-length boots I think suit me better but are so expensive. Ugg-styles are my go-to boot but I am highly aware how out of style they are. This just sounds like one big boot-related whinge!

Please carry on with your AW fashions! smile

Lottapianos Wed 14-Aug-13 10:44:24

Don't worry about what's 'in style' or 'out of style' Justshabbynochic - wear what you feel good in, whatever makes you feel confident, not what the shops are telling you you 'should' be wearing. Which seems to be mostly crop tops and hot pants at the moment hmm Nice.

foxysocks Wed 14-Aug-13 10:51:56

remus I have one from reiss which is fine knit merino in purpley indigo blue colour (old - bought in 2008 i think), and one from hush which is a grey/blue more chunky honeycomb stitch (last AW). hush always do at least one and mine has washed really well.

Annianni Wed 14-Aug-13 10:52:27

Grey suede ankle boots with slim leg jeans rolled up,
Cashmere slouchy v necks and my parka.

Heeled grey leather ankle boots with skinny jeans and a silk blouse.

I can't wait to wear my Marant Jenny's with jeans and a big fat knit.

I wear a lot of jeans grin

Annianni Wed 14-Aug-13 10:56:04

Justshabby I wear Uggs and I don't care if they're 'out'... They're comfy and warm.

I ignore what's in fashion, and buy what I like (usually)
Although I do quite fancy a big coccoon coat at the moment.

Kezztrel Wed 14-Aug-13 10:59:16

Remus I've just seen a gorgeous grey cashmere jumper dress on TK Maxx - think only L or XL is left but could work as a slouchy one.

snowlie Wed 14-Aug-13 11:59:53

Loving this thread, just pulling together my pin board for a massive spree in September after buying no clothes for 4 months.

I want....
A wool coat, maybe red, maybe military, below or at knee.
Cashmere grey jumper/cardigan
Cowboy or biker ankle boots
Slouchy grey leather bag
Black knitted dress
Red ankle boots
White layering shirt from Me&Em
Black peg trousers to fit my large calves - any ideas?
Some legwarmers to peek out over my knee length boots
A skater skirt - knee length, fake leather.

Heeled animal shoes sound fab....might just add those to my list too

Pinupgirl Wed 14-Aug-13 13:03:52

Tea dresses, tea dresses and yet more tea dresses! I love them and will wear with opaques, coloured and seamed tights, shoe boots or mary janes. Faux pearls or cameo and scarves or clips in my hair.

JellyBelly10 Wed 14-Aug-13 13:20:28

This A/W I will mostly be wearing.....
....the same stuff I've been wearing for about the past 8-10 years since having children! But to make it all even better I will be accompanying it all with frumpy flat shoes and crutches thanks to knee surgery! sad

spottymoo Wed 14-Aug-13 13:31:41

Black & indigo skinnys
Cotton chunky knit jumpers
Cards with long sleeve tips and scarfs
Ugg boots
Brown knee highs
Denim skirts

Tend to be pretty casual but warm
Need a new coat and and brown handbag
Thinking of a green parka

Thanks Kezz - I'll have a look.

Jones the Bootmakers had some v nice heeled leopard print boots in their sale, if anybody is after such a thing btw.

Straight leg jeans (My waist and hips are a size 10 but my calves refuse to fit into skinnies)
Fitted cardigans
Ballet flats
Bright scarves to brighten up otherwise neutral outfits.

Certainly not high fashion, but it is a look that flatters and works for me.

Am hoping that my quilted coat isn't too dated yet as I really like it. TBH I live in the sticks and so it fits in with the Joules brigade regardless of fashion.

I need some new winter boots, preferably flat (have worn Clarks Orinoco for the past 2 years) but haven't decided on which ones I like yet.

Justshabbynochic Wed 14-Aug-13 14:50:51

What brand of boot shall I look at in regards to ankle boots and knee high boots, y'all? I'm looking for something to last walking in lots but not much more over £70 or so!

I have a navy wool military coat I will be wearing a lot with grey, denim, and black skinnies, mostly.

GeorginaWorsley Wed 14-Aug-13 15:18:37

Love autumn clothes

Will be looking for anything chocolate coloured as this really suits me but has been off fashion radar

Warm possibly down filled coat

Maybe new brown knee boots, have loads of ankle boots already but existing knee ones few years old

Maybe nice fine autumn coloured jumper, can't do Chunky

Last yr loved Dorothy Perkins coated jeans and Marks indigo collection navy coated biker jacket

scarlet76 Wed 14-Aug-13 18:40:30

Agree. Think autumn clothes are my favourite clothes.
My list wasn't about what's necessarily in fashion but what I actually like to be wearing.
Saw some nice mid length jersey skirts in DP today - striped or plain - that might make the list!!!

snowlie Wed 14-Aug-13 20:59:45

Justashabby Clarks have some great ankle boots and there's a 20% off code kicking around. I just bought some leopard skin heels with the code.

ShoeWhore Wed 14-Aug-13 21:15:08

Skinny jeans (dark blue) and skinny flares (v dark blue)
Cowl neck jumpers in dark grey and orange
Fine knit sweaters/cardigans in dark grey and purple; also bright blue
Black suede ankle boots (Office Untouchable)
Thermals under everything! (I like M&S Heatgen ones)
Zebra print coat until it gets really cold

I desperately need a new winter coat - possibly two as I need a school run coat and not sure I want to wear that all the time!
Like the idea of a jumper dress or two.
Saw some more black ankle boots in Clarks that might take over from the suede ones in bad weather.
Also want some new scarves. Maybe orange. Snake print. Nice grey pattern.

Have got some bright blue skinnies that I'd like to continue wearing but feeling a bit clueless about what winter footwear would work?

MrsMcGregor Wed 14-Aug-13 21:30:20

Great thread! I love AW, hate it when SS rolls around. Unusually for me I don't know what I'll buy. A wander around the city shops old be lovely. I do know I'll be in skinnies (jeans and cords) with boots, knee high or ankle. I bought lovely black knee high LKB riding boots last year but old be tempted by a new pair of brown knee highs. Maybe a coat refresh - something I between my Barbour which has no warmth, Aigle which is waterproof and proved a great investment last year and a green Ralph Lauren Paper Denim puffa which is great for really frosty days but otherwise too warm.

MrsMcGregor Wed 14-Aug-13 21:33:02

Excuse typos! 'Old' should be would.

I meant to ask whether anyone is wearing skinny cords this season? I have grey and burgundy Superdry pairs which I lived in last winter. Would like to wear them some more!

You've just reminded me that I want a scarf with a navy and black print of some sort.

MickeyMouseHasGrownUpACow Wed 14-Aug-13 21:35:14

Skinnies in grey, indigo, teal and purple
Fine(ish) knit sweaters
Ankle boots/Ash hi-tops/leopard pointy flats
Black maxi skirt
Black peg legs
Print shirts
Parka/taupe 60s-style coat

I think I only need to get a parka and maybe a sweater or two as I have the rest. What I actually buy may be slightly different but I plan to be frugal this year!

Sconset Wed 14-Aug-13 22:12:11

remus Crew Clothing (a la TKMaxx) is J Crew, and there's no shipping duties to the UK now as they have European distribution anyway.
Crew is really good quality btw, I'd say better than Boden, but very £££ for Brits due to £ collapse- it was much better value 7 a few years ago.
DD has a lovely Crew sweater bought from TKMaxx just a month ago, really soft sweatshirt material, very cosy now it's gone a little colder.

jumper dresses- Sainsburys seem to have done really good ones for the last 2 or 3 years, not all polyester either.

I shall be wearing:
Tweedy trousers (last year's)
Grey wool Flannel trousers (as I have worn since time immemorial, as it's the only way I can keep warm)
wool knit tank tops over unironed crisp cotton shirts
navy blue Guernsey sweater with thin white stripes (boden SS13 sale)
Navy Lexington swingy skirt (boden ss13 sale)
Navy cigarette pants (are you seeing a theme here?)
Navy polo necked long-sleeved top
grey polo necked long-sleeved top
grey bedford cords (gap AW11)
Grey knit sweater dress
Navy knit sweater dress

I want-
pointelle long-sleeved layering tops of some description (DD has fabulous ones from JL and boden, and they're so toasty, I'm always envy)
new waterproof coat (feel in my bones this will be a wet winter)- bit of a desperate need really- have no waterproof coat of any description!
Some sort of dress- would like something perhaps with a print for work, to go over a pointelle top or polo neck, but also a new grey knitted sweater dress to replace the one my son bit clean through! hmm He was in a biting phase last winter, and ruined my favourite!
Would love to get slightly away from the navy/grey combo that forms 90% of my wardrobe - greens would suit me best I think (I think I'm a soft autumn- leafy, autumnal colours do seem to suit me)

Re Crew Clothing - I think it can't be J Crew because I Googled it and it has shops in the UK now, whereas J Crew don't. It looks more like a sort of old fashioned British knitwear sort of place.

Oh no re the bitten dress!

Sconset Wed 14-Aug-13 22:25:26

Ha- you're right about crew! J Crew is really good quality, and what I have bought DD is Crew Clothing- but it is really lovely quality!

The jumper I saw in TK Maxx was gorgeous and looked good quality, but I can't be faffed with handwashing.

InMyShreddies Wed 14-Aug-13 22:28:07

Yet to buy - charcoal lambswool jumper from M and S men's section, and some more skinny jeans in a mid blue. And a chunky but plain silver bangle.

Dark indigo skinnies
Dark indigo straight leg jeans
Grey Zara jersey blazer
Much loved Mint Velvet brown leather biker jacket
Striped jersey tops
White or grey Boden Henley
White stuff navy suede wedge ankle boots
Knitted dresses with thick tights
Hush long vests for layering

Sconset Wed 14-Aug-13 22:36:26

My washing machine has a handwash cycle, so I guess I'd do it in that. Was it a grey jumper??? I have such a love of grey! I'm so boring... grin

DipMeInChocolate Wed 14-Aug-13 22:39:27

I want:
A knee length wool green coat
A chocolate brown leather biker jacket (with collar)
Dark brown ankle boots with heel
Navy / Khaki trousers
Some orange/red/green tops/jumpers
Brown chunky cardi

It was v pale grey cable knit. No handwash cycle on our ancient machine!

In fact, here it is full price I think it was £25 in TK Maxx.

Sconset Thu 15-Aug-13 00:02:49

ooh- that's very nice isn't it? I love cotton sweaters actually. Might pop in tomorrow after work then, thanks! (was it with knitwear?) <looks down at pale grey vneck I'm wearing> um... can I justify another grey knit? grin

theresmoretolife Thu 15-Aug-13 00:05:15

Slim cords
Slim jeans
Denim skirt
Striped t shirts
Fine knit jumpers
Ankle boots
Big scarves and an even bigger parka
All in an array of grey, pink, purple and teal/green

CerealMom Thu 15-Aug-13 08:18:18

Boiled wool jackets/cardies
'Old lady' silk scarves
Boots - Welles and leather.

Just need my dream car - Morris Minor Traveller and I'm there...

BeingMoreDog Thu 15-Aug-13 08:50:33

The Perfect Coat (when I find it) along with flat riding boots or ankle boots (also to be found).
Slim jeans, layered tops - breton stripy T/denim shirt, merino knits, beads. And I really want this, but think I'll look a dick.

BeingMoreDog Thu 15-Aug-13 08:51:48

oh, and this tweed jacket perhaps.

SilveryMoon Thu 15-Aug-13 09:03:43

I really need to get myself clothes shopping.
Lots of skinny jeans here. I am a larger size (18 and 5ft 11) and mostly wear black trousers and baggy tops which make me look a lot bigger than I am, so if you don't mind, will be keeping a close eye on this thread to inspire a new look?
Any tips much appreciated smile

AnxiousAugusta Thu 15-Aug-13 09:21:05

Mum boots
Bootleg jeans

Love the idea of shopping for a Morris Minor alongside a new wardrobe. smile

Silvery - it would be worth starting a new thread, so your questions don't get lost on here. In the meantime, are you looking for mostly work stuff or casual?

SilveryMoon Thu 15-Aug-13 10:32:01

Thanks Remus maybe I will. Work is casual so don't necessarily need 2 separate wardbrobes wink

amessagetoyouYoni Thu 15-Aug-13 12:36:39

Abandoning skinny jeans this season for slim/straight legs. Need to find my perfect pair, though....hmmm...

I'll be wearing lots of pretty pairs of tights underneath fitted dresses, with shexy, tarty black over the knee boots (Boo Hoo have some wicked rip off Lanvin ones!).

Gonna go glam and femme this season. Summer fashion was so lack lustre and shapeless in the UK this year.

I really want a fabulous, swishy, luxe coat.

Sconset Thu 15-Aug-13 21:18:03

CerealMom- I love your look!

Bumblequeen Fri 16-Aug-13 08:57:20

The clothes I bought in 2012! I do not buy a new wardrobe whenever the seasons change. I bought two coats last years, a pair of boots and a few bits. I too like autumn. I have not quite mastered the art of layering and looking stylish. Some women do it so effortlessly. A bigger budget would help.

AlwaysSleepingBeauty Fri 16-Aug-13 09:49:03

Snoods in oxblood and grey
Cashmere gloves in raspberry and grey (johnstons)
Grey 'knobbly' pearls, embarrassingly I don't know what they are actually called...(vintage)
Tea dresses in a multitude of colours (Topshop, vintage, ASOS)
Black cropped leather biker jacket
Chunky grey scarf (ASOS)
Burberry Pink Azalea lipstick
Ankle boots in grey and black (Autograph at M and S!)
Lots of opaque tights in black and oxblood (Falke)
Navy stud sleeve coat (Zara, very last year but I don't care!)
Maxi skirts in peach and black
Blouses in cream, soft blue and mustard

Luckily these are things I already have, though I'd like a faux fur hat and a cashmere cardigan if funds will allow.

Always - you have just reminded me of my gorgeous cashmere wrist warmers, my very favourite item of A/W attire!

Usual stuff - slim leg vintage wash jeans, black skinnies, dresses tights and tan ankle boots (knackered so need new ones)
Cashmere, merino and mohair jumpers in burnt orangey colours and mossy greens
A thick scratchy wooly Shetland green cardigan from Brora that is toasty warm
Cashmere gloves and hat
Mustard cropped coat and stripes underneath
Navy waterproof parka
Charcoal grey fine wool scarf
Grey wedge ankle boots
Rouge noir nails

Also a jaegar merino lined black sequin cape from ebay that I LOVE but it's not easy to wear, but I will wear it dammit.

I need dresses, ankle boots, black/charcoal jacket and dark grey wool trousers, all for work.

And also a cropped leather jacket (have yet to find the perfect one)

Black mid heels (ditto)

Navy silk pussy bow blouse (seen one which was only £799) wink

noddyholder Fri 16-Aug-13 15:45:06

I am after a waist length v fitted sheepskin jacket if anyone has seen one that doesn't require a mortgage!

noddyholder Fri 16-Aug-13 15:49:12

love this esp the skirt length

I like that Noddy, apart from the clumpy shoes.

littlemisswise Fri 16-Aug-13 16:01:39

What do you all wear on your feet with your cigarette pants in the AW please?

noddyholder Fri 16-Aug-13 16:04:29

I wear ankle boots or brogues/loafers and thin socks

For work, I wear ballet shoes or heels. It's v warm so no need for socks but if it was cold I'd wear nude tights under them, or nude fishnets.

At weekends, ankle boots.

littlemisswise Fri 16-Aug-13 16:16:14

Thankyou. smile

ProphetOfDoom Fri 16-Aug-13 16:20:20

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

scarlet76 Fri 16-Aug-13 17:32:27

Just thought of a couple more things:

cashmere wrist warmers
Burgundy leather biker jacket

I tend to wear cigarette pants more for going out and I wear with pointed heeled courts.

Sconset Fri 16-Aug-13 21:17:36

Going out?? Whatever is that? wink

Schmaltzing- I often wear converse/Vans/bensimon type plimsolls with miniskirt/opaques combo (casual, not for work obv!)

I agree with the 'hoofy' description!

I think I'm going to do grunge this winter. All the princessy pink coats aren't going to work for me at all.

Ankle boot (pistols/jalouse)
Flannel shirts
Leather skinnies
Indigo skinnies
Grey skinnies
Slouchy cashmere
A kilt (don't yet have one of these)
Leather biker
Crombie coat

dexter73 Sat 17-Aug-13 07:38:46

I think I might join you in the grunge Amber (even though I did it in the 90's too!). I would look like a tool in a princessy pink coat!

Mummyoftheyear Sat 17-Aug-13 07:44:11

Three jumpsuits - different colours - that I've just bought from lovely boutique nearby.

noddyholder Sat 17-Aug-13 08:15:11
