Sort of grassy or citrusy - oh does anyone know what I mean??! grin

CadiM Thu 25-Jul-13 19:04:19

Liz Earle's botanical essence no1? It's a pretty fresh, citrusy-bergamot scent but it's £47.

inneedofrain Thu 25-Jul-13 19:06:54

Ah I can´t help as I avoid all grassy / citrusy perfumes.

I was going to suggest Cool water which is still my favourite fresh scent.

I love intuision by eld as well but thats not really fresh.

TiredyCustards Thu 25-Jul-13 19:08:47

L'occitane the vert has a bitter citrus note in it.

cannotfuckingbelievethis Thu 25-Jul-13 19:24:43

Elizabeth Arden - Green Tea. I've seen it in TK MAXX and Bodycare for anywhere between £10-£20. I think it's lovely but doesn't have the best staying power.....

Tweet2tweet Thu 25-Jul-13 19:47:05

I love Clarins Eau Ressourcante and the brand Roger and Gallet (can now get at M&S) do some lovely fresh scents. Clarins one has better staying power though and comes in large bottle that lasts ages.

GetStuffezd Thu 25-Jul-13 19:48:49

Acqua di Gioia is beautiful but I have a feeling it might be quite dear.

Ujjayi Thu 25-Jul-13 19:55:16

L'Occitane Verbena is beatiful. Very light, fresh & citrussy. Costs around £13.

candycrushhater Thu 25-Jul-13 19:58:09

I like Dolce and Gabbana No. 3 L'imperatrice. It's a fresh citrus scent and costs about £35.

Foosyerdoos Thu 25-Jul-13 20:00:13

My favourite is Origins ginger essence. It is really fresh and spicy.

hettie Thu 25-Jul-13 20:06:16

am a sucker for this kind of thing ...
Clarins Eau Des Jardins
Aroma Tonic by Lancome
O de Lancome
Versace Versense
Neroli Portofino by Tom Ford

KosherBacon Thu 25-Jul-13 20:06:40

Diptyque Philosykos is my favourite fresh scent. Its a fig based scent and is beautiful.

Clinique Happy

apatchylass Thu 25-Jul-13 20:15:02

I second the suggestions for Occitane's Verbena - lovely, The Verte and
Clarin's Eau Resourcante which is fantastic - like clean sun dried linen and under £20.
Crabtree and Evelyn do a very fresh cologne of bitter oranges which is about £15

I love Chanel cristalle eau verte, but not that cheap, sorry!

TweenageAngst Thu 25-Jul-13 20:16:32

Un Jardin en Méditerranée by Hermes is nice.

Fluffy1234 Thu 25-Jul-13 20:18:30

I second Clinique Happy.

PeerMon Thu 25-Jul-13 20:27:55

Try Zara, they have a good range and under £20!

buzzy1 Thu 25-Jul-13 20:31:38

Cacherel Noa is a nice one, and been around for a while so you can prob pick up quite cheap..

holidaybug Thu 25-Jul-13 20:33:11

I third Clinique Happy. One of the few fragrances I've been complimented on by male colleagues

peggotty Thu 25-Jul-13 20:33:19

Wow loads of suggestions - thanks very much. I'll seek out as much as possible to try.

alemci Thu 25-Jul-13 20:34:03

the Clarins Floral one - Jardin is lovely and fresh or O de Lancome is fantastic.

TheFallenMadonna Thu 25-Jul-13 20:36:45

I wear L'Occitane Green Tea and Jasmine.

lizandlulu Thu 25-Jul-13 20:40:04

Philosophy? Amazing grace, pure grace? About £38 tho

thecatfromjapan Thu 25-Jul-13 20:46:53

If you have a large M and S near to you, have a look in their beauty section. they are having a sale on some of their new lines. Comptoir de Sud and Monotherm (I think). There were a lot of fresh, citrussy scents.

My favourite wasn't in the sale: Fragonard Osthmanthus. Citrussy - but a bit floral too. So perhaps not for you. But it was just delicious!! Like lemon tree blossom in the early hours of a hot day.

LifeIsBetterInFlipFlops Thu 25-Jul-13 20:48:34

Jo Malone - Grapefruit Cologne £35 ish

dontyouwantmebaby Thu 25-Jul-13 21:05:19

agree with all the Clarins recommendations - the one that is the most grassy/citrus is Eau-Dynamisante and for a fresh, clean laundry type scent go for Eau Resourrsante

the Clarins jardin and sunshine onse are lovely too but perhaps veering towards floral too much for you? (although still very fresh)

Estee Lauder white linen breeze but £££££, for a less costly end of the spectrum you could try body shop satsuma spray body mist.

Twinklestein France Thu 25-Jul-13 21:06:52

Clarins Eau Dynamisante - fresh, citrusy, quite like O de Lancôme but lighter & more wearable for every day.

Roger et Gallet Thé Vert - fresh & light.

Clarins Happy is very sweet - bit sickly.

thecatfromjapan Thu 25-Jul-13 22:33:15

Oh! Sorry. It was Roger and Gallet "Osmanthus". Not Fragonard. Oops.

Housewife2010 Thu 25-Jul-13 22:38:44

Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Herba Fresca is gorgeous. It smells like a wet Summer's day. About £38, but £31 at the moment at www.escentual.com.

AmazingDisgrace Argentina Thu 25-Jul-13 23:02:58

L'occitane lemon verbena or Roger et Gallet Citron.

Amarena Thu 25-Jul-13 23:16:43

Oooh grassy and citrusy, then definitely Guerlain Acqua Allegoria in Herba Fresca. Gorgeous, unlike anything else I've smelt before and not expensive either!

lollylaughs Fri 26-Jul-13 08:35:49

I have the clarins eau de jardins. I got a gift set and it came with the body lotion. I use just the body lotion sometimes without the spray and it lasts. It is quite floral though. Its the one I use each day.

The blue Clarins one - Eau Ressourcante.
Hermes Orange Vert

CK One Summer

Lyn Harris le cologne - from her diffusion range at m&s. It's actually for men, but don't let that put you off - very citrussy and smells amazing. Only £25 so the smell doesn't last too long, but lovely and fresh for summer. I actually had it on yesterday and the man working at the post office asked what I was wearing and said how nice it was. Made my day grin although I'm slightly concerned I had too much on as he was behind a glass screen at the time blush

thistooshallpasswontit Fri 26-Jul-13 12:33:52

Clinique happy is fresh, light and citrus

Fragonard cedar from m&s

Jo Malone French Lime Blossom is citrussy and fresh but also has a beautiful creaminess to it.

treaclesoda Fri 26-Jul-13 16:13:08

this place do some really lovely fragrances. I always think of them as a more purse friendly Jo Malone style thing, in that they smell 'of' whatever they are called, if that makes sense, rather than being some randomly named perfume.

I realise that linking to a website it a bit pointless if you can't actually smell the stuff, but the website lists stockists, so if there are any in your area you might want to go along and have a sniff.
