Just the normal high tops. I can't decide grin

mum47 Sun 07-Apr-13 22:27:21

Both fab - red nice and bright but navy is classic, and will go with blue jeans no matter what colour of top you have on, whereas some colour tops might clash with the red. Tough call tho!

navy perhaps more versatile??? Would be my preference because they'd suit the rest of my clothing better.

Or take the easy option: get both! smile

Navy will go with almost everything casual, red are a bit more difficult to match to.

I already have the brown leather ones <<sensible>> tend to wear skinnie jeans and tbh not much red blush, but they are cool

redwellybluewelly Sun 07-Apr-13 22:29:16

Dd and I had this exact situation today. She opted for blue.
Great taste and not yet 3!

HoneyDragon Sun 07-Apr-13 22:29:31

It has to be navy doesn't it?

MikeLitoris Sun 07-Apr-13 22:30:30

I'm looking online now and thinking of getting a purple pair.

Wher are you getting yours from?

rubytutu Sun 07-Apr-13 22:36:56

yes navy.

Startail Sun 07-Apr-13 22:39:31

Can't help one DD has dark red the other navy!

Both are nice, red goes with DD1's tendency for green, cream and brown clothes. Navy with DD2's pinks and purples.

Me I want purple ones!

My heart says red but my head says navy. Navy will go with more so I have to listen to my head and say navy

I too really want some purple ones

HoneyDragon Sun 07-Apr-13 22:42:16

What if I get

Navy converse

Turquoise spangly not converse baseball boots for fun?

Spangly you say? Well, who can resist a bit of glitter. Go for it grin

HoneyDragon Sun 07-Apr-13 22:42:58

It's navy or red for me what with them being £22.00

DearPrudence Sun 07-Apr-13 22:44:22

Red. Definitely.

HoneyDragon Sun 07-Apr-13 22:45:39

Sorry they are actually £18.00

ClaraOswald Sun 07-Apr-13 22:46:01

HoneyDragon Sun 07-Apr-13 22:47:10

So Red Converse?

Or Navy Converse and Turquoise Spangly?

zgaze Sun 07-Apr-13 22:47:38

Where are they £18? Tell me tell me!

HoneyDragon Sun 07-Apr-13 22:47:49

<<hits Clara>>

We are trying to be sensible now! <<cries>>

navy and spangly gets my vote

RED! I want them too grin (not the high top variety though)

HoneyDragon Sun 07-Apr-13 22:50:35

You can get the purple ones for £28.00 but you have to order £100 worth of stuff to get 50% off I just put them in my basket and they reduced.

HoneyDragon Sun 07-Apr-13 22:53:44

Right got distracted by pink converse for £28.00 this is getting silly. I'm going navy.

beanandspud Sun 07-Apr-13 22:54:00

I've got the red pumps and I do love them. I have a pair of navy pumps from Diesel though and I have to admit that I wear the navy ones far more often than the red.

HoneyDragon Sun 07-Apr-13 22:57:35

Ok new plan.

Navy blue converse high tops

Red not converse pumps without laces. As let's face it, with no socks will be vile by the end of summer so not point pending out on branded.

ClaraOswald Sun 07-Apr-13 22:59:49

I still think Converse look better in brighter colours.

My DH has navy. They're boring.

<runs for cover>

HoneyDragon Sun 07-Apr-13 23:00:51

Right. Ordered.

Of course I could have got both if my horrible children had not needed wanted stuff hmm

HoneyDragon Sun 07-Apr-13 23:01:55

Yes. But he wears them with a Super Hero out fit grin, ergo not actually that dull.

HoneyDragon Sun 07-Apr-13 23:03:11

La Redoute Code is 8144 and ends tonight if anyone wants to make any rash purchases wink

ClaraOswald Sun 07-Apr-13 23:04:28

he wears them with a suit.

A la David Tennant in Doctor Who. The things I tolerate.

HoneyDragon Sun 07-Apr-13 23:06:57

Does he have a fez? Fez's are cool.

And bow ties. Bow ties are cool

HoneyDragon Sun 07-Apr-13 23:12:41

This thread is roily becoming an example of why I should not post in S&B grin

At least no one told me off about the Converse. I quite fancy a fez now.

ClaraOswald Sun 07-Apr-13 23:14:25

No fez. Does have bow tie.

Also has cowboy type hat.

HoneyDragon Sun 07-Apr-13 23:20:26

I've still got my Tom Baker Scarf, which comes out every winter. smile

i would want to go red... but navy would go with my clothes more.

i already have a bow tie grin
will get red converse one day... david tennant made them cool !

HoneyDragon Sun 07-Apr-13 23:25:25

I didn't go red. I was sensible. <<proud>>

MirandaWest Sun 07-Apr-13 23:41:45

HoneyDragon Mon 08-Apr-13 11:52:30

Well the Navy's all ordered along with red pumps. I am feeling very smug for being sensible grin

BeanoGrigio Mon 08-Apr-13 13:12:26

Hi, where are you getting them that cheap please?

HoneyDragon Mon 08-Apr-13 13:45:10

La redoute and one of their 50% codes smile

Mrsrobertduvall Mon 08-Apr-13 13:48:10

I love my navy converse even though I'm nearly 53.
I am contemplating a pair of Superga for this summer. Any comments?

HoneyDragon Mon 08-Apr-13 13:58:38

I would say do it, but that is fashion advice from someone who wants to wear a fez

BeanoGrigio Mon 08-Apr-13 21:52:20

Thank you smile

DIddled Mon 08-Apr-13 22:33:53

I can only get it to knock off 31pee cent on a spend of £111. Any ideas please ladies?
