I am on holiday on Friday.

I have just hurled my clothes on the bed and don't like what I see.

I need new summer dresses, tops, shorts, sandals and bikinis.

What shops sell this clobber at this time of year?

AppleOgies Sat 08-Dec-12 14:44:33

I think you can get them from the next website and get them delivered to the store? You won't find them in store at this time of year.

TheDoctrineOfSnatch Sat 08-Dec-12 14:48:35

Figleaves website?

MsElleTow Sat 08-Dec-12 14:49:24

envy.

Catalogue type places like Very for bikinis, they usually deliver next day. They might have a few Summery bits too.

La Redoute's eBay shops had SUmmer dresses the other day, I don't know what their delivery is like though.

Surfdome website?

TheDoctrineOfSnatch Sat 08-Dec-12 14:52:21

Can you buy when you get there?

MsElleTow Sat 08-Dec-12 15:04:27

Asos for bikinis. They do next day delivery too.

John Lewis have beachy swimwear all year round.

GetorfsaMotherfuckingMorrisMan Sat 08-Dec-12 15:14:52

Thanks very much. I will have a look at that Next deliver into store thing - the only thing with ordering online is that I am not in all week to accept parcels, won't get back til very late and we are staying at Gatwick Thursday night. So have my doubts that I will get the parcel.

Bloody nothing in the shops.

Why didn't i think of this before? grin

Me too. We're going away next Sunday. I'm thinking of going to TK Maxx after work one day next week. I don't know if they'll have anything though. I'm supposed to be getting organised today. I'm sitting in the sofa mumsnet ting.

GetorfsaMotherfuckingMorrisMan Sat 08-Dec-12 15:30:16

I was thinking about TK Maxx as well, but I can't bear the place at the best of times and iyt will be unbearable just before Christmas.

I too am supposed to be sorting stuff but I am eating a bowl of ice cream, watching Friends and being really lazy. grin

AtAmber Sat 08-Dec-12 18:26:34

I've done the tree this afternoon. I'm wrapping presents tonight. We arrive back at 1am on Christmas Eve. It seemed like a good idea when we booked it! I can't stand TK Maxx either but cannot face going to liverpool tomorrow.

At the airport? There is a monsoon as gatwick airside and ted baker which may have stuff, maybe worth a phone call?

AtAmber Sun 09-Dec-12 13:35:32

I've just been to a Gap outlet and bought some T-shirts and tops.

KristinaM Sun 09-Dec-12 14:45:00

I'm sorry but I refuse to feel even a shred of sympathy for you jetting off into the sun wink

Chandon Sun 09-Dec-12 16:06:53

Just buy something new at the holiday destination!

GetorfsaMotherfuckingMorrisMan Wed 12-Dec-12 07:53:04

Lol at no sympathy.

2 days to go!

I have got 5 bikinis anyway I have discovered. But sod it, I will buy a new one or two and some shorts and tops at the airport. Too bloody cold to go to the shops.

One thing that is keeping me happy in this freezing cold weather is the mantra two days to go...two days to go...

I am reaally looking forward to it, plus it is dd's 17th birthday the day we fly (which reminds me, I need to pack a cake and candles)

Where are you going? You can probably buy stuff when you get there? Or shop at Gatwick?

NettoHoHoHoSuperstar Wed 12-Dec-12 08:50:18

Show off envy

KristinaM Wed 12-Dec-12 18:56:59

Sainsburys had lots of swimwear today. Cannot vouch for how stylish or otherwise it is as I was on my way past with a trolley of food

Littlechangeforthis Wed 12-Dec-12 19:17:11

Next will deliver next day if you order before 9pm and will leave in a safe place if you aren't in?

Wheresmypopcorn Wed 12-Dec-12 19:52:39

Topshop.Any Accessorize at the airport

GetorfsaMotherfuckingMorrisMan Wed 12-Dec-12 19:55:03

Oh do Next leave it in a safe place?

Moot point really, I am going tomorrow.

Egypt. 25 degrees. <laughs> grin

GetorfsaMotherfuckingMorrisMan Wed 12-Dec-12 19:55:52

I am TOO OLD for Topshop bikinis.

What are they made of? Silly string? <Deirdre's mum>

MarianForrester Wed 12-Dec-12 19:57:31

ASOS has some really nice bikinis; I like the fifties style ones, but lots there.

bigTillyMincePie Wed 12-Dec-12 20:09:06

GetOrf, Sharm? envy We went in the summer - no charm, but very relaxing!

GetorfsaMotherfuckingMorrisMan Wed 12-Dec-12 20:11:42

no, hurghada. With a trip to Cairo (hmmmm)

I am just going to sit there for a whole week, eating.

bigTillyMincePie Wed 12-Dec-12 20:14:14

Haven't been to Hurgharda since the 90's - we travelled from Cairo on a bus... But we met a family in the summer who were Hurgharda regulars - you'll have a great timesmile

Buy at airport.
My friend once got to the till with a TS bikini, and the checkout girl warned her that 'it wasn't suitable for swimming'. Obviously she put it back.

ifancyashandy Wed 12-Dec-12 20:20:51

Meh. 25 degrees! I was in Dahab in November and it was a glorious 38. Heaven.

<<still brown>>

ifancyashandy Wed 12-Dec-12 20:21:23

Ps.. Can you get to London? Selfridges and John Lewis sorted me out.
