What IS the problem with me and jeans? HELP!

Every since I can remember, I haven't been able to get jeans to fit me properly. Basically, every bloody pair/brand/type falls/slides down and needs constant hitching up.

I'm not sure if its my stupid flat bottom paired with love handle muffin top thats doing it, or I am just a ridiculous shape!

Today I've decided I can't handle pulling up my size 14 Baxter skinny Top Shops any longer, and i've just been and bought some River Island straight legged...cue the last 2 hours of tea/bathing/bedtime routine, and i'm hitching up the bloody jeans again!

I'm really fed up, its costing me a fortune and I am ready to abandon denim once and for all.
Anyone else have this issue? Please don't tell me to buy high waisted because i have and its GRIM.

I'm currently in the post natal weight loss phase but believe me it was like this pre babies when I was a fighting fit size 10.

OK - silly question first off - but do you wear a belt?

yes indeed! Have done up loosely, and cinched in really tight...both reap same results ( i wear my jeans on the hip).

I'm getting irrationally enraged every time I lean over the cot at the moment...what a bloody waste of money.

i'm the same, the only jeans i really love are 501s and they're impossible to get hold of atm.

i blame the general jean design atm

I have a similar problem. If the jeans fit me on the hips they will be big on the waist and then keep sliding down (even with a belt). If you have an hourglass-y waist to hip ratio, I think you're stuffed. The best ones I've got were a really expensive "Seven For All Mankind" pair and they're not great, to be honest...

I have this problem too, I have no solution tbh.

Denim is hard wearing and goes with everything and comes in lengths I can wear (am 5.3 so petit trousers are too short, normal are too long, short jeans are the only thing that is right in length)

I spent 140 quid last year on a pair from the boutique that the American lady from "Gok's fashion fix" owns - really lovely quality but when I got them home I looked like mutton...and had paid to have them altered so they wouldn't take them back...

I sound a bit mental over this (!) but i've got pair after pair in the wardrobe and they are kind of a wardrobe necessity with 2 kids under 2.

Adelaide - what make were your expensive ones?

In terms of premium denim - I personally don't think you can beat J Brand mid-rise.

I'd be tempted to go to Selfridges and spend a long time trying on jeans. Also never get them taken up until you've washed them because of shrinkage.

at the moment i like my next bootcut 20 quid jeans. they fit well and are quite high cut.

would never spend over £80 on jeans. they wear way too quickly.

I have the same problem. I am an hourglass and all jeans fall down. I think it must be our body shape. I guess if you have a big tummy it keeps them up. I have a big bum proportionally and I think this must kind of pull them down as I walk or something. There is a woman at school who is my shape but prob a size bigger I think I am going to ask her where her jeans are from because I have never seen her hoiking.

I have EXACTLY the same problem - it is enraging. Gap Long & Lean and Oasis My Scarlet work for me. Nothing else. Tried them all. Flat bum and love handles here, so there's nothing 'holding them up' iyswim.

Yup same problem I have a small bum and post section overhang which is a combination that means I hitch up jeans all the time DH finally convinced me to try Levis and so far they fit really well - no hitching up! Diesel were also ok but I have tried less expensive Next and M+S jeans with no luck

501's.....hmm...that takes me waaaay back to sixth form. Might have a looksee on Ebay for some!

I had one really amazing pair of non-slipping Diesels which were about £70.00 when I bought them...an evil ex-boyfriend relieved me of them for himself!

Adelaide shocked your jeans from Gok lady are no good I read an article about her shop that raved about how she always gets the perfect pair for you. In my wilder jeans dispair moments I had considered going to London to her shop!
