this season's nude trend as a legging

No love - put it away, you look like you've got two undercooked chipolatas hanging out of your skirt.

are people still wearing velour matching jogging suits? You know the ones with the short sleeve hoody, it's always in purple.

Coderooo · 02/06/2010 19:01

YES there was one in purple there
with pineapple written on her arse.
i think it was a brand not an instruction

Blokes wearing 3/4 lengths trousers to show off tatoos on their leg. Usually with a fierce looking dog on a lead.

at instruction

at nude leggings, surely that's a joke?

I'm imagining a lot of Enngeerrllannnd branding at the moment. Especially on Coco's blokes. Will I be disappointed?

Halternecks are generally the work of the devil. I saw a woman in a horrendous white halter neck dress with her entire MASSIVE white granny bra on display at the back

I made two fashion observations in Birmingham today:

  1. leggings look crap on everybody
  2. maxi dresses look crap on everybody except one beautiful, dark haired, willowy girl in Selfridges.

Tight vest tops on overweight ladies is not a good look either. Such tops are really good at displaying tatoos and sunburn...!

I hate how everyone dresses the same. Black leggings/footless tights and long tops. boring boring boring and some people definitely should have looked in the mirror before they set out. Saw denim leggings on someone today and she really thought she looked good.

also in brum - well sutton - I saw someone in one of them short strappy asymmetric dresses like that were popular about 10 years ago, worn over really thin leggings that showed up every crease and dimple on her legs. She also looked like she'd been dipped in tea

No to leggings? What do I wear then when I come back next month?

Cargo pants?

Leggings are fine if you've got good legs and wear with the right top/footwear. Depends what look you're going for I suppose.

I've got some nice ribbed knitted dark grey footless tights that I wear with a pale grey capped sleeve embroidered top (covers bum) and sandals or ballet pumps and pretty jewellery. Go on rip it out of me, I can take it .

I look nice and I don't look like everyone else either.

What I want to know is what the ladies criticising leggings etc actually wore today- just out of interest.

jeans

If had left later when weather was warmer ( was on day trip and scarred by being FREEZING on tue) would have worn short skirt or dress or shorts or cropped trews

So, is the no no no to leggings because of the weather or are they always a no no?

Jeans, too vague, could be very funky skinnies or casual boyfriend jeans or mum jeans.

I agree they wouldn't look good with a summer dress. What do you do though, if legs are really white and a bit veiny?

I always chicken out of short dresses, lately, I opt for maxi so I don't have to worry about my white, veiny, hairy legs. Can't be arsed to fake tan or shave.

I like maxi dresses too. I have about 4 and one even has a halter neck.
