thanks
like the cream idea
not so keen on the gold one though

I wonder about putting a clashing colour with it like bright pink or bright green and then a necklace to tie the colours together???

Shawl, not cardi. In white or cream.

If you can get a drapey cardigan, then a light yellow might look nice. But cream or white would be more formal. It would need to be drapey though.

Silver is good with this kind of blue, also fuchsia, or white. (Just had my colours done, got the wallet!!) I don't know your views on boden, but they have a silver cropped cardigan here

so by silver you mean light grey?

shawl too dressy/eveningy I think

I have gap white cardi but it's not drapey..what do you mean by drapey? I have large norks so the waterfall type cardis look shite

Just to say I have that Boden cardi in purple and it is lovely! A good shape for that dress I would have said.

Not available in many styles or colours tho.

I would be tempted by another strong colour too, was thinking orange with the tan sandals as well?

I'd go for a gold cardi.

Is it for wearing during the day? To work? Or for holiday? Or what?

Gold is a very useful colour cardi to have. I wear my gold cardi with my fuschica pink silk dress and with a cobalt blue dress, not unlike the one you linked to. Think Morroco or India.

My dd has just got a dress that colour, and I was thinking of turquoise/ silver.

By drapey, I think I mean something like this with no buttons, loose and lightweight, that can be tied as the dress is. This one is even a little see-through so not frumpy, more like a suggestion of a cardi.

ggirl - I'm sorry I can't find a suitable gold cardi... I have a lovely one from Max Mara but have had it for years and years. Not sure where you'd get one at the moment but here's a nice silver one as silver would also look nice.
