First time I've ever tried to dye my hair and I'm allergic

I have suddenly sprouted gazillions of greys almost overnight . So bit the bullet and bought a home kit, did allergy test and within 5 minutes itchy and red.

Would having it done at a hairdressers be ok, or likely to have the same result? I suddenly look like an old lady so need to sort this out!
