Can I have your expert opinions on these sandals please

Let me say from the off that I put comfort ahead of style but I don't want to look too sensible. Do you like these?

I have quite wide feet and a high instep. I already have some quite nice mules/slides but I need a pair of sandals that I can drive in. I have skin that rubs and blisters very easily so I need shoes to be adjustable so that they don't move around on my feet too much.

Should I buy them?

No, you'll look sensible.

Sorry

Bran - thank goodness I've read this post. was starting to think it's just me that has skin that blisters very easily. I'm sitting here now with plasters everywhere and trainers on so I can actually walk today.
I like the sandals but as they're are a wedge heel, will your feet move as they're tilted downwards. P'raps not - just a thought. I have some like that but criss cross mule fronts and when my feet get hot, they slip down.
Found these and they're a bit grecian-esque too.these

Drs - as someone who suffers massively with raw skin and blisters, it's always a compromise between fashion and comfort. i usually end up buying shoes I never wear as they hurt so badly - no matter what I do (gel pads/insoles etc).

I vote no, I reckon for that price there must be loads of nicer ones to choose from...

I'm in the market for new sandals, but wear jeans most of the time, so I will get some trecking sandals.
Very comfy!

good idea ripeberry -but won't go with pretty, pretty clothes really. But perfect with jeans

Those Clarks sandals are pretty but they're not adjustable across the foot, and I can tell just by looking at them that the back of the across-toe strap will cut into my instep.

[sigh] I'll keep looking and be back. I do quite fancy a little bit of a heel, and if there's an ankle strap then my foot shouldn't slip forward too much.

Ah - I see - about the adjustable foot strap.

they are ugly and old ladyish

these are better

wide but not adjustable

i have these and my feet are wide they are makeing my feet red at the front but I think they'll be fine, loads of mnetters hated them when I started a thread about them. I got the tan colour.

I quite like those Josef Siebel ones luciemule, but aren't they just as sensible looking as my original ones?

I'm not sure about those M&S ones ggirl, of all them I like the ones you have the best, but not enough to stop looking for others.

What do you think about these? They're not adjustable across the instep, but because the straps run diagonally rather than straight across the foot I think there would be more leeway.

These are nice - and have an ankle strap.
Don't know how wide they are though...

Ok, if Fly are narrow that definitely rules them out.

I like the Duo ones a lot, possibly a little too dressy though and would they hold my foot firmly enough to drive safely in them?
