What is Joules sizing like for little girls?

DD1 is five, average height but quite sturdy.
I recently bought her some bits from Boden and she was a 5-6.
How does Joules come up - can't decide whether to get her an age 5 or an age 6.
This is the dress I was going to get her, anyone bought it for their dd and can advise?
I would buy the 2 sizes and send one back but no free returns/exchanges and p&p is already £4.50

My DD is also 5 but she is quite tall for her age and is in the next size up in Boden (which is 7-8 as they don't generally do a 6-7). DD has a joules duffle coat and it is an age 7 and it really only just fits her - and she is a skinny little thing!

I don't know if the dresses work in the same way as the coats but I would go for the age 6 as I find joules errs on the small side.

Joules kids stuff comes up small, always buy a size bigger...

I bought a similar one for DD last year. She is small for her age and though the dress was far too long for her, it was quite a fitted fit and clung to her belly so I'd probably size up in that style if your DD is sturdy. I'm hoping that as mine's grown a bit by this summer the dress will be a better fit!

I find the clothes quite long but tend to buy a size up.

Yes definatley the bigger of the sizes, dd1 is just 4 and i brought the 5 for her and whilst its a little bit loose the 4 is wya too small for her and shes a tiny thing.
Their sizing always comes up small, the age 11-12 boys wear only just fits my 8 and half year old!
