I like straight jeans that are not too thin or stretchy but also not too formal looking. Any ideas please?

Thanks, will have a look at both of these pairs.

I have never tried Boden trousers of any kind. What is the fit like?

What is the waist like on the Martha's - is it very low?

Not really low but not waist height - bit in between. No builder's bum when you sit down which is the important bit!

Levi 627s are good.

Another vote for Boden. After trying many, many pairs I have to conceed that these are the best (imo). Fit wise if you are between sizes then go for the larger size.

Another vote for Top SHop Marthas.
You could get a pair on ebay to try them out before spending £40 on them, I say that as not everyone likes them as they can slip down if you have a flat bum...

A flat bum is not something I own!

Top shop Marthas are great. I ended up buying two pairs and am waiting for my third pair to come in as i had to order them. They are very flattering and look great.

Question re TS Mathas - what waist size would equate to a size 12 or 14? I never know - and need to order some online!

Ollie in Marthas 30" is a 12, 32 a 14.
As suggested perhaps worth getting a pair on ebay to try for size and to see how you get on with them.
